  We’re visiting from Canada, wouldn’t recommend this place. I’m staying in a nearby rental. I strolled by and asked if it’s possible to order food and use the beach chairs. Also, if there was a fee, I would have paid it. They security told us it was not available to use. Perhaps, call the next day and try. However, all the chairs were empty. I said ok, I we would just sit on the sand for a bit and exit. He initially said yes but later wouldn’t let us exit through the hotel. He also told us to move away from the beach area to another corner. I felt like he was suspicious of us and didn’t want us near the hotel.

  After a busy week of safari, from the moment we entered the gates of Kinondo Kwetu and were greeted by DiDi, we immediately felt at home. This boutique luxury property is gorgeous and carefully thought out, with ample space to relax in privacy and enjoy the white sandy beach. We had the oceanfront cottage no. 5 which was perfect for our family with 2 grown teens. What truly makes this place even more special and memorable is the kindness of the staff where they make you feel like family and no request is too big. The food was made from local fresh ingredients and absolutely delicious and they even indulged our requests for alternative options that exceeded our expectations. DiDi, Ana and their incredible team have done a fantastic job of creating this culture and environment of hospitality and of the many places we’ve been fortunate enough to travel, this stay will easily be in our topmost memories. Truly sad to say goodbye and we hope to be able to come back again!

  Absolute heaven!! We had the most amazing few days here, able to totally switch off and enjoy ourselves. It is a very special place. The food is exceptional - every meal was delicious, well thought out and left us feeling nourished with wonderful, fresh ingredients. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful without being overbearing or intrusive. We stayed in a lovely cottage which had little spots for sitting and reading outside. We loved being barefoot for the week and enjoyed the super comfy sun loungers. Don’t miss the beef samosas on the snacking menu - very tasty indeed. We spoke to various local people on our daily beach walks, and it was also lovely to hear them speak so positively about the impact of outreach work that the hotel has done over the years, which they said was not the case with many other hotels in the area. We can’t wait to come back!!

  We had the most relaxing time here for our honeymoon. The vibe is absolutely perfect—the grounds and buildings are beautifully designed to invoke a peaceful feeling. You can relax in a shady cabana on the beach after a swim in the warm ocean, play games and have a cocktail on one of the lounge couches, or sit and relax in one of the private garden nooks outside of the pool as you watch birds fly by and monkeys swoop down from the trees. The design of the place is absolutely gorgeous with stunning thatched roof villas, beautiful carved wooden furniture, and a very unique bohemian vibe that makes you feel even more at home. The service is spectacular—we had the best waiters and bartenders throughout our stay that were attentive to our every need without being overbearing. The food is incredible—a wonderful mix of seafood, steak, and fresh salad and local fruits and vegetables for the perfect beachside dining experience. They even prepared a spectacular private happy hour experience in the tower for us on our last night with drinks and snacks to watch the sunset. This is a truly special place that is not a cookie cutter resort experience but a perfectly curated “home away from home.” We highly recommend it and cannot thank the team enough for making the final days of our honeymoon absolutely perfect.
