  I got the ocean view room at Pinewood and the panoramic views were absolutely breathtaking. I could spend hours on that balcony on the swinging lounge chair just looking at that view. I love how they mix it up at Pinewood, some days dinner was in the restaurant and on one night we had a BBQ on the beach. Food was always great and so was the service. Animation was also good, enjoyed volleyball and soccer on the beach. Minutes from Bore Bore nature sanctuary where I got to feed giraffe.

  Every detail is given so much thought at Pinewood to create a perfect, relaxing experience. From the Bali style walkway leading into the hotel, to the lush gardens and ponds to the handmade furniture and custom art work, they put their heart and soul into everything they do, which all comes together to create a memorable experience. The white sand beach was wonderfully tranquil when compared to the constant bustle of Nyali and other parts of Diani. Food was delightful, breakfast included fresh fruit juice, crepes, omlettes, French toast and an abundance of fruit. Lunch and dinner had incredible vegetarian, seafood and meat options. One of the highlights was the beachfront restaurant where we could dig our feet into the sand while having our lunch. Almost forgot to mention had the best sleep of my life there on those comfortable pillows.

  Best value beach resort! Friendly helpful staff!!!! They made EVERY DETAIL of our stay amazing. Rooms are comfortable and well equipped. Lots of hot water. Ground floor rooms are much larger! They have walk in double shower heads & bigger living area & much bigger patio area. Worth the extra to take this room. Good A/C & ceiling fans in all the rooms I saw. Mosquito nets that slide on a track around the night stands so you can charge your phones at night and not be claustrophobic in there. Nice detail!! Food is outstanding, order the full board option, you won’t regret it. Beautiful property that is well maintained. Good lighting inside & out. Only single negative I could find is I wanted a security bolt on the inside of my door. They lack this safety feature, but I was able to place a piece of room furniture behind the opening to my door so it would not be able to be entered at night. So I slept soundly still. Just a precautious person who values safety. Back doors each had a top & bottom lock only from the inside. They were well secured as was the bathroom window. Plenty of pool & beach chairs! Beach ones have a cushion. Very comfortable! Lots of umbrellas for shade & open ones for us that like to sun bathe. Perfect! I’ll for sure come back again. So glad I booked into this resort over my Christmas holiday.

  This hotel is really nice. Food is great. Staff is helpfull and friendly. Rooms, perfect. Unforunately all of this is currently spoiled by a class of 40 school boys and girls, very noisy. They "invade" the swimming pool, the beach, sunbeds... currenly not a quiet place for the next days!!!

  We stayed for a week after being on safari for a week. The hotel was great and a lovely place to relax for the week. Our garden view room was large and comfortable. There was always a good variety of food which was good quality. The staff really helped to make our stay as they couldn't do enough for us. A special mention for the waiters John and Moses, the gardener Patrick and our cleaner Milly who helped to make our stay special.
