  I had the pleasure of using the beachfront services of Eleven Pearl during the course of my stay in the local area . The beachfront is by far the best side of Diani. It costs 1200 KSH a day to rent a bed however, 1000 is redeemable on food and drinks . It certainly paid for my Mango milkshakes daily which were delicious ! The food is actually very good, freshly prepared and there is a wide selection . There is a beach / sunbed area with security and a restaurant and bar area . Towels are provided . There are lovely , clean toilets and there is an out door shower. The beach and sea is simply breathtaking . The water is turquoise. There are kite surfers which can be annoying . There are peddlers on the beach ( not on the grounds of Eleven Pearl) and they can be a nuisance : They were manipulative and tedious and in the end I would march through and ignore them . They will be everywhere , all along the beach. They tend to shuffle along but there is security to stop them coming on to the grounds . There are Camels which I only mention so tourists do NOT use them . Please consider how they treat the animals & animal welfare . It is wrong. They are tethered together in the heat. It is truly appalling to see tourists mounting them . The service can be hit and miss and I would suggest they ask staff to wander around occasionally and ask guests if they would like a drink or to order some food . There is a tip box in reception however , it is always nice to tip & look after those who go out of their way in terms of service . Asha on reception was outstanding . I hope she will go far. She is a manager in the making . Special thanks also to Nuru who always serves with a genuine smile and wants to help . The boys can be a little lazy and nonchalant in comparison . I highly recommend Eleven Pearl as a beach club . It’s a great beach. The small boutique sun-bed area is perfect. The food is great and the WiFi is overall very good . I didn’t stay at the hotel itself so can’t comment but the cabins looked cute.

  I love the fact that they don't exxagerate their prices. Had a great time with my friends. It's so picturesque at night! It's a place I'd go every weekend.

  To avoid - greedy and dishonest management! Booked a room for 3 nights through booking.com and asked for twin beds. Called the hotel before booking and was told this is possible. After the booking, I was contacted to say that twin beds need an extra surcharge. I was quoted 1,500 KES a night. I asked if this can be complimentary (as booking was done based on the information provided and in low season). The manager refused and this time asked for an additional 3,000 KES a night in cash to be paid on arrival. Luckily we managed to cancel the booking on booking.com on the website, albeit with another dishonest justification on booking.com by the manager. What an unpleasant experience!

  Honestly, I am extremely disappointed with the service. Upon arriving at the hotel, we ordered drinks as it was very hot outside. It took over an hour for the drinks to be served. We initially brushed this off, assuming the restaurant was busy. However, at around 4:30 pm we placed a food order when the restaurant was no longer crowded, and the food only arrived at 5:45 pm. To make matters worse, it was undercooked. The location of the hotel is amazing. But service is pathetic.

  If you’re black don’t go hear. The staff is racist. Me and my friends were on holiday last n Diani and had a great time. At high tide, there was no way for us to walk to our hotel from the beach. So we asked the staff here if we could walk through the compound. Without even listening to us, they tried to escort us out and asking us to make no fuss so that the “white” guests would notice. At first we didn’t understand what was happening. Once we realised , we just told them that it sufficed to just tell us “no, you can’t walk through our compound.” We would have understood that and appreciated it more than being handled like criminals.
