  Samburu Intrepids was my favorite of the three safari campsites we stayed at in Kenya. It truly captured the special feeling of being immersed in nature without sacrificing comfort. While hot water and electricity were not available 24/7, they were reliably provided outside of game drive hours and never caused any inconvenience. The tents were excellent—well-sized (neither too big nor too small), thoughtfully designed, and equipped with window openings that can be easily opened or closed from the inside, which we really appreciated. One of the highlights was the restaurant. The à la carte menu, with at least three courses served at each meal, was a refreshing change from the buffet-style dining common at many other lodges. The food presentation was impressive, and the sauces accompanying the dishes were particularly memorable. The staff was very welcoming and attentive, though a bit more familiarity with the menu offerings and wine list would elevate the experience even further. Overall, Samburu Intrepids left a lasting impression, and I would not hesitate to stay here again.

  Excellent experience! Incredible and personal service from the whole team. Special thanks to our lovely waitress Shillah and steward Nuno, who put a lot of extra work on us. Food here is nicely prepared and presented, very versatile options available. Tents are decorated with charm that really takes you to Safaro feeling. Nice touch is also a complimentary morning wake up with coffee/tea served to your tent. Good and spacious, but yet intimate general areas. Only thing that bothered slightly was the proximity of tents - to our taste they could have been located in slightly more private manner. However, this did not disturb our overall experience - very good option for your adventures in Samburu!

  ⭐ Review of Samburu Intrepids Tented Camp — Samburu National Reserve I recently stayed at Samburu Intrepids and overall had a memorable safari experience in a beautiful location along the Ewaso Nyiro River. The surroundings are stunning and the atmosphere is peaceful, making it a great place to enjoy wildlife and nature. Pros: The food was very good, well prepared, and consistently enjoyable throughout the stay. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained, offering a proper safari experience without compromising on comfort. The staff were absolutely wonderful — friendly, professional, and always willing to help, which really enhanced the overall experience. Cons: A major downside was the lack of complimentary drinking water. Guests are required to buy bottled water, which is disappointing given the remote location and the overall cost of staying at the camp. Access to drinking water should really be included as a basic necessity, not an extra expense. Overall: Samburu Intrepids is a lovely safari camp with great food, clean rooms, and excellent staff. However, the water policy significantly affects the experience and is something future guests should be aware of before booking.

  Incredible service, went the extra mile constantly!! 10/10 would recommend. The staff went above and beyond throughout our stay to give us a great experience. Steve gave a couple of wonderful cultural talks before dinner (I highly recommend!!) and also assisted us when timely help was needed in our tent. The food was also stellar, with three hot meals per day and very reasonable portions. Gideon served us quite well and could not have been more kind. There is an electric fence build around the camp, so you are protected against any large wild animals but you will still see monkeys, lizards, owls, bats, and any number of other small animals in the camp. Hussein was a steady security guard who gave us peace of mind at night. You must go with a security guard at night to see the stars! There is zero light pollution so the entire night sky is filled with stars when it is clear.

  An amazing place with incredible and welcoming staff.Their food is all a la carte which makes it different to many other camps. Beautiful and very comfortable tents with all the neccesary items to make it an incredible stay. Special mention to Veronica , group hostess during meals, always with a great smile!
