  Fantastic location to stay with the restaurant overlooking the river. The tents are near and clean and staff is very courteous. Food is good and the place is awesome for birding.

  This is a perfect location to explore Samburu National Reserve, if going to to Reteti or just as a stop over if heading further North. Staff was very friendly and welcoming and the tented rooms were clean with amazing attached outdoor shower and toilet. It gets hot in there during the day but thats due to the area and nothing to do with the camp.The highlight is the stunning pool area right on the river between some stunning rock formations, never seen anything quite like it. The dining area also has good views on the river. I found the food to be of high local quality, recommend the chicken wet fry. Portions are HUGE, 1 order will easily serve 2 people. Removed 1 star because I had to call 3 times over 2 days to get the owner on the phone to make a booking, this should be rectified. I liked this place, good value for what you get.

  That is a beautiful Reserve with beautiful landscapes and wildlife. The beautiful reticulated giraffe, large Grevy Zebras, gerenuk gazelles, oryx, and vulturine guineafowls are among the endemic species found only in Northern Kenya. In addition, during our two-night stay, we saw numerous lions, one leopard, and several elephants. Although the ablutions are quite run down,Our stay in Lion cave Camp was the best,the management was very friendly and welcoming.

  No hot water in the morning and its too cold , they dont provide enough food, the waiters are moving too slow, the service is luck luster .Provided its a camp ,their tea is not worth 5 dollars

  Really nicely done camp where you are allowed to self camp in the back close to the parking area. We really enjoyed our stay especially the swimming pool and the beautiful views from the restaurant and bar areas. BUT I remove one star as we waited exactly 2 hours for our lunch to arrive even though it was just chicken, rice, chips and spinach. Never had that before even though I've been living in different African countries for the past 10 years. Credit card accepted.
