  Soroi Larsens Camp’s location along the Ewaso Nyiro River is simply sublime—nature’s beauty at its most raw and breathtaking, yet wrapped in genuine luxury. Every moment here reminded me that Samburu is just as magical as the Masai Mara, in its own extraordinary way. I was fortunate to stay one night in their Deluxe Luxury Suite with the iconic star bed—a dream-like space that blends comfort and wilderness. The suite features a private terrace, plunge pool, outdoor shower, and stunning views over the river, offering an immersive experience of Samburu’s rhythms under Africa’s vast skies. Waking up under the stars here was one of the most profound safari memories I’ve ever had. What makes the stay truly unforgettable is the people—warm, attentive, and sincerely welcoming. Special thanks to Manager Harrison for his impeccable hospitality and to my incredible driver Evan, whose knowledge and passion brought the wilderness to life each day. I stayed at Soroi Larsens Camp during September, and the experience remains just as vivid and memorable.   My fiancé and I spent two amazing nights at Soroi Larsens Camp, and it exceeded all expectations. We arrived straight from a three-day camping trip, so stepping into such comfort felt especially luxurious. From the moment we arrived, we were met with warm, genuine hospitality that made us feel immediately welcomed and cared for. The location is fantastic, set within Samburu Reserve on the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River. Our tent was positioned right on the river and was spacious, beautifully decorated, and very thoughtfully designed. The bed was extremely comfortable (much appreciated after camping), and the tent had everything you could need: a mini fridge with drinks provided, plenty of drinking water, a lovely shower with quality toiletries, dressing gowns, and so many small details that made the stay feel special. We especially loved the butler door, with coffee delivered in the morning before heading out on game drives. The food was outstanding throughout our stay. Lunch and dinner were à la carte, with an amuse-bouche and three beautifully presented courses. We were looked after by the same waiter, Charles, who was consistently kind and attentive. Managers Jesse and Morris also checked in on us regularly and were clearly very present and invested in making sure guests were comfortable and happy. The swimming pool was a highlight in the afternoon heat, overlooking the reserve. There’s also a poolside bar, and Ali, who looked after us there, was warm, attentive, and thoughtful. On our final night, we were surprised with sundowners just outside the camp — a mobile bar, fire, and snacks set up in the bush. It was a truly magical way to end our stay. A special place that strikes a perfect balance between wilderness, comfort, and exceptional service. We couldn’t recommend it more.

  I don’t even know where to begin because everything about our stay was truly perfect. From the moment we arrived, it was amazing. The room was spotless: super clean, fresh, and incredibly comfortable. The staff were honestly the nicest people I have ever met, and they made us feel welcome every single day. I also loved the fact that you Could literally see wildlife from the outside of your room! My favorite animal we saw from outside of our room was an elephant crossing the river! We were quite literally in the jungle!! I want to give a special shoutout to Rosa, who was one of the kindest, warmest waitresses I’ve ever met. She treated us with so much care and made every meal feel special. I also want to mention the naturalist who guided us during our walk. He was friendly, patient, extremely knowledgeable, and we learned so much from him. The rangers who accompanied us on the naturalist walk were also wonderful. They were attentive, helpful, and made the experience feel even safer and more enjoyable. Truly, every single person we encountered was amazing.The food was another huge highlight. The chef was unbelievably talented and so versatile. One morning we had a takeaway breakfast, and because of my own personal preferences, I didn’t like any of the options. I was nervous to say something, but when I gently asked if an omelette was possible, the chef immediately made one, and even as a takeaway it was warm and delicious. Later in the trip, I was also hesitant to ask for fruit after dinner since it wasn’t on the menu, but they brought it to me right away with no problem at all. Their passionfruit was unbelievable—fresh, sweet, and honestly some of the best I’ve ever had. I ate passionfruit multiple times on the trip, and every single one was perfect. The fruit there is incredibly fresh, and the chefs make the most of it.One of my favorite nights was the traditional Kenyan buffet. The food, the atmosphere, the music, and getting to dance with the locals made it such a special, unforgettable experience. I also have to mention how safe and cared for we felt throughout the entire stay. At night, staff were always ready to help in case of wildlife encounters. If you flashed your light, someone would come immediately. It gave us so much peace of mind.Overall, everything was absolutely perfect from start to finish. And even though I highlighted only a few people, that’s only because if I mentioned everyone, this review would turn into an entire book. There were so many kind, thoughtful, incredible staff members who made the experience unforgettable.Thank you to all the staff for making this stay truly perfect.

  A truly exceptional experience. 5 star luxury tents in an incredibly intimate environment. Animals within 2 meters of your safari vehicles, walking safaris through the park guided by park rangers (tip them) a culinary journey of enhanced tastes and beautiful presentation. Larsen’s camp exceeded every expectation. From the attentive service to the cocoon of convenience. This camp features a spa with massages, a full bar, hot showers and a pool (not heated) nighttime security escorts you through the property as it’s an open resort an elephant or gazelle might wander in from time to time. Nestled along the river with a constructed flood wall you can watch the crocodiles stunning on the river bank at breakfast. Any wish or accommodation was fulfilled without question you simply had to ask. Water bottles are provided as are cold beverages on the safari vehicles, expect two game drives per day if you’re all inclusive starting at 6:15-8:30 am and 4 -6:30 pm. Visit the Samburu people at their nomadic village, had carved animals available for purchase $50 each. You can tip and pay for everything with a Visa credit card at reception, tips are communal unless specifically appropriated to a member of the staff.

  The rooms were spacious and clean. Everything was absolutely amazing. The food was delicious and fresh, rare to find that in some places! Staff were always there to assist with everything. Friendly too. Would definitely make a trip back! Worth the money.
