  What I really liked about Samburu Sopa Lodge was the customer service – it was genuinely very good. Special shout-out to Anester and Wesley, who stood out for their warmth and attentiveness. New Year’s Eve was well planned and entertaining. After dinner, the staff organised fun activities that ran up to midnight, creating a lively and engaging atmosphere. On the night of January 1st, I particularly enjoyed the Samburu dancers. I’ve experienced local dancers before, but something about this performance felt more authentic — honestly, that was the highlight of my trip. Accessibility is also a plus. The road through the park is generally manageable with a standard saloon car. We were a bit anxious before the trip because we wanted a proper road-trip experience without hiring a car or carpooling. Some parts of the road are rough, but if you take your time, it’s doable, you get to enjoy the park along the way, and you arrive safe and sound. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the lodge truly feels like it’s in the middle of nature—you may even spot animals while walking to your room. For safety, there is always an escort provided at night when heading back to the rooms, which I appreciated. Overall, it felt like good value for money and a memorable stay.

  We had a fantastic stay at the Samburu Sopa Lodge. The location inside the park is excellent, the accommodation rooms were very comfortable and well equipped, the food across all meals was varied and of good quality. The service was incredibly attentive at all times. We had serious issues with our rental vehicle and Naomi was so wonderful at supporting us and she worked to find a resolution, we are incredibly grateful for this help which went above and beyond anything we have experienced before. Highly recommend staying here.

  My fiancé and I had an absolutely wonderful stay in Samburu. We stayed at Samburu Sopa Lodge, which was comfortable, welcoming, and had stunning views of the surrounding landscape. The staff were friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. One of the highlights of our trip was seeing so many incredible animals in their natural habitat ,we spotted elephants, giraffes, zebras, cheetahs and even some rare species! The combination of beautiful scenery, amazing wildlife, and excellent hospitality made our stay truly unforgettable.
