  Kibo Camp is really beautiful and very clean. The tents are large and comfortable, which I personally liked a lot. We were warmly welcomed at the entrance by a hostess with wet towels to freshen up upon arrival or return from the game drive. An ostrich roams around the camp. A clan of small monkeys is also regularly there. The swimming pool is pleasant and clean, allowing you to cool off a little. As for the meals, overall the buffet is very varied and well stocked. In my opinion, it is a little too Europeanised and as a result some dishes lack flavour. It is better to opt for the local dishes, which did not disappoint us. One negative point, however, is that the waiters tend to clear the plates too quickly and do not wait for guests to finish eating. Next to the restaurant, there is a bar/lounge area where you can relax or have a drink. On our last evening, we ordered an aperitif twice. The next day, they asked us to pay for four, claiming that we had ordered doubles. Unfortunately, this situation spoiled our impression of the camp and the staff. Despite the written proof of our orders that we had signed the day before, they accused us of lying when it was their own mistake. Perhaps the waiter had inadvertently served doubles instead of singles. In the end, we paid more than we owed to end the discussion and continue our safari. Mistakes can be made, but admitting them and communicating effectively should be part of good customer service. It's a real shame for a place like this.

  Excellent staff. Beautiful resort and delicious food. Rooms (covered tents) are very nice, even had multiple fans to cool you off. Only negative and a big negative for some people is there’s no WiFi in many of the rooms. Upon check in staff will tell you the rooms don’t have WiFi. Later we fine out all the rooms closer to the lobby-restaurant-bar tents have WiFi. So many people were discussing this during meal service.....why half of the guests have to sit in lobby to make a call or check messages, while the others can do it from the comfort and privacy of their room or porch. It’s 2026, at the nightly rate for this lodge, Kibo should extend WiFi to all guests.

  Overall, we were happy with Kibo Camp. The tents are nice, and the lighting in the evening is beautiful. The buffet offers a large selection, but the food itself was average in taste. What we did not like was the service during meals. Plates were taken away several times while they were still half full, both from us and other guests. This happened very frequently. While the intention may be to provide professional service, guests should be allowed to finish their meals, especially to avoid food waste. Additionally, we were charged twice for a drink order. I ordered an Amarula with ice (menu price: 600) and later a second one. When we checked the bill the next day, four drinks were listed. We explained that we only had two, but were told they were “double” drinks. The bartender confirmed this. However, if someone orders an Amarula, it cannot simply be served as a double without clearly communicating this to the guest. In the end, we paid because our safari guide was waiting. Being told repeatedly that we were wrong and having to pay double the price is the reason we would not return to Kibo Camp.

  We had a wonderful stay at Kibo Safari camp while on safari in Amboseli for our honeymoon in August / September 2025. The lodge was located so close to the National Park, with beautiful views of Mount Kilimanjaro. The staff were incredibly friendly and went the extra mile to make our honeymoon stay special for us. We'd recommend this safari lodge to everyone!

  Absolutely loved my stay at Kibo Safari Camp! The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The food was delicious with a great variety. From start to finish, everything was perfect truly a 5-star experience. Highly recommend!
