  We stayed here Jan 2026. This is a really beautiful Lodge, one of 2, that is actually located inside of Amboseli. This makes it extremely convenient to go for game drives. The scale of the Lodge is very grand, with large beams, soaring 20ft ceilings, an elaborate chandelier over the bar featuring elephant tusks, and an wooden carved elephant frieze in the lobby. 4 rooms are housed within each chalet style house, scattered over the grounds. Rooms are nicely appointed, slightly dated, but comfortable. No ac in the room (which is common across all lodges we experienced in Kenya) - while the temps do drop at night, there is only 1 screened window for the room that opens, so cross ventilation was a little tricky. All rooms face Kilimanjaro, which was a treat to see at dawn, when the clouds seem to consistently part. My favorite spots are their pool, which is raised on a platform overlooking the Plains (don't forget your binoculars, as you can easily spot elephants, warthogs, gazelle and more all day long), and the second floor balcony area above the bar (though it sadly doesn't have a great view due to the amount of tree cover). Food was plentiful but I didn't think particularly tasty; all meals were served buffet style; there were about 15 hot items, salads, fruits, and a dessert table. I was pleasantly surprised to find that lunch was just as elaborate as dinner, which is sometimes not the case at lodges. The Lodge seems to bill itself as a high end property, and I would agree with this, albeit an aging one. Overall it has great views of Amboseli and Kilimanjaro, terrific location, and a very cool bar and pool.

  Ol Tukai Lodge delivered a truly memorable Amboseli experience. The game drives were incredible—we had close sightings of elephants, wildebeest, lions, zebras, hyenas, ostriches, warthogs, flamingos, giraffes, and monkeys. The lodge is very comfortable and well maintained with excellent service. The staff were attentive, warm, and made us feel taken care of at every moment. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Amboseli.

  Ol Tukai Lodge is one of the best safari lodges I’ve ever stayed at. The location is unbeatable — right in the heart of Amboseli with stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro and wildlife literally roaming near the lodge. The rooms are spacious, clean, and beautifully designed with a true bush-luxury feel. The staff were incredibly welcoming, attentive, and always ready to help. The food was delicious with great variety. Waking up to elephants grazing nearby was simply magical. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Amboseli

  Great location with elephants right outside. Food is only ok but this is not a true luxury hotel so it’s understandable. Rooms are nice but maintain heat. Sleeping with the screened windows open helps cool down the rooms. Moses was an excellent driver. We saw 2 male lions within 5 minutes of landing. Also saw a group of 5 cheetahs, which is very rare. I’d highly recommend if you want to visit Amboseli and not pay extreme rates.

  We had a wonderful stay at Ol Tukai Lodge in Amboseli. The location is unbeatable – right inside the park with stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro and wildlife all around. The food was excellent, fresh and delicious every day, and the service was outstanding – friendly, professional, and always with a smile. The staff really made us feel at home. The rooms were clean, spacious, and very comfortable, and the whole lodge has a warm, welcoming atmosphere. We can highly recommend Ol Tukai Lodge – perfect for families, couples, and anyone who wants to experience Amboseli in the best possible way! 🌿🦒🐘
