  Majilis resort is AMAZING 🤩. From the moment I checked in I could feel the warmth of the staff starting with Eva who was soooo lovely. The landscaping and architecture of Majilis is top notch. This place is a gem. I loved the three restaurants but my favorite was the Mediterraneo. The waiters were lovely and I especially remember Masha who was polite and attentive. On my last day I decided to treat myself to the spa. Linda did my massage. I highly recommend her especially if you have done many activities and need to unwind.Her hands are magical. I was knocked out and she had to wake me up after the session. This was my first solo trip and I felt very safe and well attended to at Majilis. Thank you Majilis. I will be back again for sure.

  Extremely disappointing experience and complete lack of empathy from this hotel. We had stayed at Majlis Resort a few months ago and had a pleasant experience, which is why we chose to book again. Unfortunately, this visit completely changed our opinion of the hotel. Due to a flight delay, we were unable to catch our domestic flight to Lamu. Because it was New Year’s period, there were no alternative flights available and everything was fully booked. This situation was entirely beyond our control. As soon as it became clear that we could not reach the hotel, we contacted them to request a simple reschedule so we could use our booking a few days later. The hotel flatly refused. They did not offer a reschedule, a partial refund, or any form of goodwill. There was no attempt to be understanding or accommodating, despite the circumstances and despite the fact that we were repeat guests. As a result, we lost the full amount we had paid for the booking. For a resort that presents itself as high-end and guest-focused, this level of inflexibility and lack of compassion is shocking. Emergencies and travel disruptions happen, and how a hotel responds in these situations says a lot about how they truly value their guests. We were extremely disappointed by how we were treated and would not recommend this hotel to anyone who expects fair and reasonable customer service.

  Outstanding service! Friendliest people ever :). Masha, Eva, Fatma, Colson and Kennedy in particular made our visit memorable and special. The food was outstanding at all 3 restaurants. Our day out for BBQ on a Dhao was amazing. Constructive comments... The towel game is stressful and annoying. Our room was somewhat dark and short on towels. We were full board but still had to pay for water. We politely suggest that all guests should be provided water free of charge. Particularly if they are paying for full board.

  We ended at this hotel after an unpleasant night at another hotel. The staff gave us a tour of the entire property before we booked a couple of nights here with a half boarding plan (breakfast and dinner included). It was amazing. The people who work at this hotel are friendly, professional, and welcoming. They attend to all of your needs. The location is gorgeous and they have beautiful pools, including an infinity pool. It was hard to pull my husband away from it. The food is fantastic, which is a bonus when you have to take a boat across the water to visit other restaurants in town. If you are looking for an upscale property in a beautiful location with outstanding service and comfort, definitely stay at the Majlis!

  Great hotel for relaxation and unwinding. Swimming pool facilities and food is A1. The sushi from Umi was great! The catch of the day from the Mediterranean restaurant was sp good! Spa facilities are amazing. The aromatherapy massage from Elizabeth was amazing!! She was so attentive and ensured I was comfortable throughout. Alex and Samuel from the restaurant and pool were so helpful and kind! Thanks to the Majilis team
