    Our four-day stay at Jua House was absolutely perfect. The house is very well kept and beautifully decorated in authentic Swahili style, and our rooftop apartment offered stunning views over the town along with access to a spacious rooftop lounge. Olivia was a warm and welcoming host, and Amani went above and beyond in helping us find our way and plan activities. A special highlight was the delicious breakfast with freshly baked bread each morning. We had a few truly relaxing days and can wholeheartedly recommend Jua House.

    Such cosy and beautiful bed and breakfast place - the host Amani is so kind and the whole team makes delicious breakfast and afternoon teas. Really good value for money if you visit Lamu Island. Tip: buy some carrots at the local supermarket and feed them to the donkeys that roam free in the city :)

    We had 9 nights at Jua house. Breakfast from the in house bakery was a highlight, as was afternoon tea and cake. Lamu is a lovely peaceful island with no cars. Beaches are fabulous and we ate well with fresh fish on the menu every day. Highly recommended.

    Jua house was perfect for our stay, my daughter and I. Thanks to Amani for escorting us when necessary. Thanks for the breakfasts, especially the home made bread. Perfectly clean with great reading/ communal areas

    This is the most beautiful guesthouse I've ever stayed in. 10 of us took 5 of their rooms for 4 nights and we had a magical experience. Amani and the rest of the hotel staff were super cheerful and welcoming. They gave us a 5 star concierge service: helping recommend activities and places to eat, booking things for us and even walking us to our first few appointments. Breakfast was delicious and fresh every morning. We enjoyed our meal on the rooftop terrace which had a draw dropping view of Shela town and the sea. I'll definitely be back one day. Can't wait to see it again 🙂
