  Last night at the Drexel house was a very pleasant surprise. A beautiful and incredibly peaceful place. The garden is magnificent. The staff is very attentive. I highly recommend it. A big thank you to Kennedy who took exceptional care of us and cooked divine meals. Finally, breakfast in this sumptuous garden is a real treat.

  Peace and quiet, lush gardens, and friendly and attentive staff are the three defining qualities of the Drexel House. If you don’t want to be caught up in the chaos of Nairobi, this is a fantastic option. I used the pool—it’s nice for a dip, not for laps—and ate meals out in the garden when possible. You can go for a run right out of the gate, too. The owner, Dan, is awesome and can recommend local place to eat, but the food there is good too!

One of the standout features is the garden. It’s beautifully natural—lush, peaceful, and full of character. The guinea fowl wandering through the gardens add a unique charm you won’t find elsewhere. Whether you’re enjoying a quiet morning coffee or unwinding in the afternoon, the tranquil outdoor spaces invite you to slow down and enjoy the moment. Past guests frequently mention how inviting and restful the grounds are, and I couldn’t agree more.   Dan and team made us feel more like friends than hotel guests. The Drexel House gardens create a peace and relaxation felt as soon as you pass through the gates and are greeted with delicious hot Dawa and fresh fruit. The convenience of meals at the time of your choosing prepares you for the day of exploring Nairobi. We hope to be back soon to visit our Drexel friends.

  The ladies of the house are super nice, friendly and can cook really well! Best stay we had in Nairobi! The manager is also super friendly, nothing was too much. We needed a late checkout for our flight, no questions asked, exactly what good service needs to be. Would 100% recommend.
