  We had a wonderful time at the lodge and an unforgettable experience on safari with Kampala and James. Nothing was too much trouble for the team and the level of attention to detail that the staff went to in looking after us was exceptional. I believe that Duncan, Reuben, Kampala and James and the Mara animals will never be forgotten by my wife and I. This is an amazing experience that I would strongly recommend to anyone interested in the African conservancy programme.

  Our 3-night stay at Saruni Mara in the Mara North conservancy was a unique and memorable experience. The tent was beautifully appointed and very comfortable. The most amazing feature was the direct proximity to the forest - we had wild animals grazing right outside our tent on the lawn next to the porch, which was breathtaking. The conservancy experience requires more caution, especially with children who need to be accompanied by adults at all times. Armed guards escorted us between tents and common areas after dark, which added to the sense of adventure while ensuring safety. The dining is different from a buffet-style lodge - it's a limited, three-course meal that you order. The food was fresh and quite good. Ruben deserves special mention for taking excellent care of us during all meal times. David, our guide during this portion, was outstanding and made our experience truly special. We were fortunate to have a dedicated safari vehicle allocated to us, which was a blessing as we could manage our timings, food, and activities independently. The night safaris here were particularly memorable - hearing lions roaring in the darkness was unforgettable. Overall, a superb experience for those seeking a more intimate wildlife encounter.

  I've been on 4 safaris. Masai Mara is an amazing location. This resort nearly ruined the trip. I can't think of a positive thing to say about the place. And way overpriced. Poor communication and service. Cold showers. Bland food.

  We had the most brilliant time at this gorgeous lodge. The team at the lodge couldn’t have been more welcoming and accommodating. Christine and James ensured everything ran smoothly for us. Reuben was charming, funny and helpful - he made every meal a really delightful experience and we enjoyed getting to know him. Our guide, Dickson, was second to none! He went above and beyond to give us a fantastic experience and memorable encounters with wildlife. He was incredibly knowledgable. A highlight was a morning bush walk, plus seeing some gorgeous tiny cubs. A great place to explore Lemek and Mara North from.

  My husband and I stayed at Saruni Mara for 3 nights in October 2024 and loved our stay. Our guide was great, and we were out with two other couples and two sisters for our safaris. We did a full day safari, I think it was around 10 hours one day, with a picnic lunch and got to see so many things in the conservancy, including a leopard, a lion and a pack of hyenas killing a topi. The food and service were both great, although after a few days of not being able to choose what we wanted to eat, I was wishing for a bit more menu choice. They had made we had a hot cappuccino every morning to go for our safaris, which was nice, and we enjoyed the large fireplace in the main lodge with a drink before dinner. We didn’t partake in the free 30 minute massage, partially because several other people told us that it wasn’t great, and I had just had two amazing massages at Saruni Samburu right before this. Another thing to note, the location is quite a drive from the Mara North conservancy, and although the landscape is absolutely beautiful, I wish we would have stayed in the park at Saruni Wild so that we didn’t have the 45 minute drive each way.
