  I spent 3 weeks traveling across Kenya and stayed at 3 Saruni Camps. Wild, Eagle View, and Samburu. All 3 were great in their own ways, but Wild felt the most special. The service was the best I’ve ever received at any hotel. Simon was perfect - he knew what I wanted before I did. The food was good, but the highlight were the desserts and coffee. The cappuccinos were world class. The best part of my entire trip was our guide, Kampala. He was so good we kept him for our time at Eagle View. Not only did he understand lighting for pictures, he’d maneuver to the best spot out of all the cars without us saying anything. Kampala’s ability to track and anticipate what the animals would do was next level. We spotted a cheetah under a tree. Most would drive up to the cheetah, but we circled around and then drove around 3/4 of a mile across a hill as Kampala said the cheetah would move that way. Sure enough, the cheetah did exactly that, and we were in the perfect spot. For the camp itself, zebras will graze 15 yards from the main area and askari (guards) escort you at night, as there are animals close by. The WiFi was a bit spotty, but it’s understandable given the location. I was in Tent 5 and the water pressure was a bit weak, but the water was always hot. I would 100% recommend staying here for a luxury safari. We saw all animals (less rhinos) and were within an arms distance of lions, elephants, leopards, and cheetahs. Being able to see these animals with NOBODY in sight was truly remarkable.

  What a gem of a place in a rare land teeming with wildlife beyond comprehension. We saw every major species including all the big cats within 24 hours and within a 3 km radius. That says it all. A beautiful, private, and exclusive camp in a place that the word “miracle” doesn’t do justice. The whole experience was fantastic. Camp manage Chris, butler Simon and the entire team run the camp with precision and care. Everything is thought of and attended to. I will be back again soon.

  This was our final safari stop on our honeymoon, and it did not disappoint! We were originally only due to stay 2 nights, and we ended up changing our plans so we could stay for a 3rd night!! We fell in love with Saruni Wild as soon as we arrived, this truly feels like a luxury experience in the wild! Our tent felt secluded yet safe, was spacious, comfy and relaxing - we loved spending the afternoons on our porch looking out to the savanna. The team were warm, welcoming and friendly, they truly made our trip so special. Special shout out to William who looked after us amazingly during our stay! Chris was also a fantastic camp manager and we enjoyed hearing stories about his experiences and local culture around the camp fire. The special birthday song was a highlight! We were lucky to have John as our private guide - he was incredible!! We had the most unbelievable sitings on every drive, he was so knowledgeable and taught us so much. Thank you John for sharing stories about the local conservancy, your family and culture! The food was the best during our Kenya trip, hats off to the team, especially on the night when we were served delicious local food. All in all, this was such a memorable and special stay. With so few tents you feel that this is an exclusive and special stay. Don’t hesitate to book!

  Our stay here was absolutely brilliant and we would recommend it to anyone. We went to Saruni Wild for four nights as part of our honeymoon to Kenya. The camp is delightful, with super friendly staff who looked after us and made our stay really personal with early morning coffee wake up calls or late night campfires. The whole team were brilliant and the food was amazing. We were expecting minimal BBQ food and got incredible three course meals, dishes from around the world and especially tasty food on African night! The room was lovely with a shower, comfy bed and a verandah view over the savannah. Then we had our safaris with our guide David. We had such a fun time with David doing sunrise and sunset safaris that we were sad to leave him! We saw around 35 different animals during our stay, including lions, elephants, giraffes, hippos, crocodiles and zebras. David was really knowledgeable about the savannah and it's wildlife and also a brilliant spotter, seeing a pride of lions sleeping under a tree from a mile away. We have already told our friends and family that if they want to go on Safari, go to Saruni Wild.

  📝 We had an incredible stay at Saruni Wild. The place was recently renovated and had a really elegant style while immersing us in the wild for a perfect combination of comfort and nature. It's an unfenced lodge as in most cases, definitely a big plus vin my view. 🦓 Our game drives (roughly from 6 to 12 and from 16 to 19) were awesome, mostly spent in the Lemek or Mara North conservancies. We were driven around by John, a very experienced and skilled Masai guide. On each drive we saw plenty of game with most of our time spent close to the big cats. 🛏️ Our tent was very big and comfortable, with also a shower and perfectly functioning toilet and sink. The bed was the best I ever found in a safari lodge. There was no WiFi in the room (nor in any other area of the lodge) but we at least had electric sockets which were useful to charge phones and cameras. On our terrace we had a couple of chairs and a table from which we could relax and enjoy the beauty of the endless savannah in front of us. 📍 The lodge is fully immersed in the wild with the bush on the back and the open savannah in front of every room and common area, where you almost always see antelopes, buffalos, giraffes or elephants roaming around in the distance. There is something very calming and relaxing at this place that makes it so special. Also, the main area was beautiful and perfect to spend time while not being out on a drive. 🍴 Food was excellent with 3-course lunches and dinners based on mostly Italian style cuisine. As in most safari lodges, we also had breakfasts in the savannah during the morning game drive, served directly from our guide. The afternoon drive usually included some snacks and a drink for the sunset. We also had a private dinner on our terrace (with a security person constantly next to us checking that all was fine) and a dinner in the plain savannah with lights from a fire and lanterns, a really stunning night. ☝🏼 A special mention to all the staff which treated us very nicely during our stay: thank you!!
