    We had a lovely 3 night stay in the charming and secluded cottage of this idyllic property. We arrived late at night after 30 hours of travel and were warmly greeted with a delicious welcome beverage and a dinner of our choosing despite the late hour of our arrival. What made House of Waine so remarkable was the level of service they provided 24 hours a day. When we needed an early breakfast to accommodate our 6am departure flight, they made sure the kitchen was open for us to have a delicious full breakfast. Everyone here worked hard to make sure we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. The cottage we stayed in right off the pool was spacious and beautifully appointed. It had 2 fireplaces, one in the living room area and one in the bedroom. The cottage’s kitchen was well stocked with cold beverages, tea, coffee, and snacks. We really enjoyed the lovely outdoor private sitting area, where we sat and enjoyed the beautiful landscaping and the sounds of nature. The House of Waine is located in the beautiful Karen district of Nairobi, close to the Giraffe Center, the Nairobi National Park, and the Blixen House. We couldn’t have asked for a better place for us to recharge and begin to explore all that Kenya has to offer. It was the best place for us to begin our East African safari and would recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, tranquil place with pristine grounds and impeccable service.

    Beautiful property in the upscale Karen neighborhood. By far the nicest most attentive staff I have ever experienced. Special thanks to Maurice for creating the most romantic honeymoon dinner and teaching me Swahili. Perfect location, clean, large rooms, would definitely stay again!

    Wowza this place is unreal! We came here at the start of our Kenyan safari and we had such a wonderful time. The staff are absolutely wonderful- so friendly, welcoming and attentive, the rooms are very clean and cozy, the grounds are beautiful, the food is super yum! I would definitely come back here! 🙏

    Really enjoyed our all too short stay here. Please ignore the remarkably stupid negative reviews. This is charming. Beautifully renovated and decorated. Service exceptional. Set in lovely gardens. The kitchen does a great job. Do try the vegetable biryani which is really lovely. Piped jazz adds to the atmosphere of a large colonial home A postscript. We returned to House of Waine after several days on safari. One of our party had become very ill and needed to be hospitalized. The hotel arranged for special meals to be made and delivered to her! Typical of the service at this exemplary establishment
