  Spent a magical week at Chuchungi House. The house is spacious, comfortable and calming with great views and a relaxing pool. Fresh seafood and sundowners on the beach, which being the other end of the island you practically have all to yourself. The team from Safari Series and at the house were incredibly helpful, warm and kind. Couldn't recommend more highly!

  We had a wonderful weekend at Chuchungi House. We arrived to a warm welcome from the staff- and felt right at home thorughout. The team are so friendly and helpful - and the food from Chef Bernard was just fabulous! We loved relaxing on the roof terrace, soaking up the views of the dunes and ocean, it is perfect for yoga too. Watching the sunrise from bed was very special. This is the perfect place for quiet beach walks and swimming - we had a fun SUP excursion. The house is well kitted out for a host of water activities - and Captain Rama is always on hand to help out with your next water adventure. We had to work during our stay and appreciated the lightening fast Starlink internet. The sundowners and beach dinners were magical - we felt very spoilt by the team. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

  My husband and I had the best time at Chuchungi House. The place is gorgeous and just steps away from the beach. The food? Absolutely amazing—probably some of the best I’ve ever had. The staff were so kind and attentive, and there were lots of fun activities to keep us busy. What I loved most was the location— it very quite and breezy, but just a speedboat ride from the lively vibe of Lamu and Shela. Perfect for logging off and relaxing. If you’re looking for a mix of chill and adventure, Chuchungi House is the place to be!

  Our stay at Chuchungi House was just idyllic. We rolled from delicious meal to delicious meal with some chilling by the pool and water activities in between. The location was unbeatable, just 1 minute walk to the beach which was so quiet, with sometimes just only a donkey passing by! I love the house because you can see both the open Ocean and the calm creek. Considering how hot it was, we all stayed so cool in the house with breeze and fans and shade. The staff at Chuchungi were truly a delight - every interaction was a pleasure. They were warm, helpful, and made us feel right at home. My husband, a keen kite surfer, was in heaven - he said the conditions were perfect, making it the best kite surfing experience of his life!

  A magical oasis - the perfect getaway from Real Life. Morning swims in the sea, lazy afternoons in the hammock (or energetic afternoons kite surfing!) are all best rounded off with an incredible sundowner on the roof. We also did the 14km walk along the beach from Chuchungi to Shela, and saw dolphins en route.
