We’ve have been coming to the Salty Squid for several years now every time we come to Diani Beach. The restaurant is amazing and so is the staff. The food is always delicious and never disappoints. We always order the lobster and the prawns are fresh out of the ocean.

We showed up for dinner without a reservation which, in hindsight, I’d strongly recommend making but the team was incredibly kind and managed to find us space at the bar while waiting for a table. From the start, the atmosphere drew us in: a perfect balance of lively energy and cozy charm, with great music and friendly staff who clearly love what they do. Once seated, the dining experience was exceptional. Every dish we ordered came out beautifully presented and packed with flavor. The ingredients tasted fresh and thoughtfully paired, and the portions were just right generous enough to satisfy without feeling heavy. Everything was so delicious that I couldn’t resist ordering a second main course! The service remained attentive throughout the night, even with a busy crowd. Drinks were perfectly mixed, and the overall vibe made the evening memorable from beginning to end. It’s rare to find a place that nails both atmosphere and food quality this well. If you’re looking for a spot that offers an unforgettable dining experience, this restaurant is easily one of the best in town. We’ll definitely be back next time, with a reservation!

Excellent friendly team of staff especially Julie. I've heard the food here is amazing. We really enjoyed the red snapper that was specially made. Slightly disappointed with the lobster - although fresh, the quantity wasn't as expected and a little overdone. However, overall lovely place. Highly recommended.

Great atmosphere, we didn’t have a booking but staff were very accommodating, I imagine in busy season you need a res. Prawn linguine was stand out dish. Crab linguine also great (pictured). My friends got the prawn curry, have had better prawn curries in Kenya but still nice. Overall a lovely evening.

We loved the food. We were here with a group of 15. All the food came at the same time, just like the drinks and there is a great variety of food. Emanuel is a great host - thank you for the lovely experience!
