  We cycled through the national park with bikes we rented at the information centre. It costs 800 KES to rent a bike and an extra 10$ to enter the park with it. We do not recommend the buffalo circuit, as it is very challenging compared to the rest of the park and is actually less scenic. Likewise the Obsidian Caves are not worth it and the trail is full of sand so you often can't ride on it with a bike. In the south of the park is a gorge, which you can only enter by foot. Additionally one must pay 3000-6000 KES (per guide/group) depending on the lenght of the tour through the gorge. The rest of the park is very scenic, with loads of animals (no predators) on the side of the road. I would have given the national park 5 stars but the buffalo trail was too disappointing. They should put up a warning sign.

  Beautiful scenery. There is wild life in the park. Zebras, Girraffe, Buffaloes, Gazelles... I had an amazing drive there, your vehicle doesn't have to be a 4×4 to manage the terrain. You can also rent a bicycle from the community guides @Ksh800 and pay cycling fees at the park Ksh 300. I used Elsa Gate Entrance. Paid the Park Entry Fees Ksh 500 via E_citizen. I paid for my vehicle as well, Ksh 600 for a 5 seater vehicle because I drove through the park. There is parking at the gate incase you wish to cycle or just walk the park. It was very hot, carry light wear, a hat, sunscreen especially if you are walking or cycling in the Sun. If you will hike the Gorge, then you will need a tour guide, they charge you based on time spent Ksh 2,000 to Ksh 3,500 thereabout. You can drive through the park to a geothermal spa Ksh 400 entry where you can swim.

  The best thing is that you can ride or walk through the park because there are no predators here. However, there aren't many things to do inside the park. Once you ride to the gorge and back, that's it. With the entrance fee, bike rental, and guide fee, the experience is really expensive. In hindsight, we should have skipped it.

  My husband and I visited Hell’s Gate in October 2024, and it turned out to be one of the most unique and unforgettable adventures we’ve ever had. Cycling through this stunning landscape is an experience like no other! Bicycles are easily available for rent at the entrance, and taking a guide is completely optional, we explored on our own and felt perfectly safe throughout the visit. Do remember to carry water and some snacks, as there are no facilities once you enter the park. Even the toilets are only available at the entry and exit points. The best part? The wildlife experience! Animals roam freely around you, and cycling right beside them is simply amazing. We were lucky to spot warthogs, cape buffalo, giraffes, zebras, different types of deer, wildebeest, and so many more. It truly felt like pedaling through nature’s playground. I highly recommend opting for the cycle ride here. It’s absolutely worth visiting and offers memories that will stay with you forever.

  Absolutely incredible. This was my favourite part of the safari, beating Masai Mara and Amboseli. We chose to bike through the park getting very close to the animals. It had a completely different feeling compared to the safari-van. It is great for a few hours and as a complement to other parks.
