  This place definitely took us by surprise. What a stunning place! Surrounded by nature all the way round. Beautiful rooms, friendly staff. I am truly in awe. We will definitely be coming back.

  Very peaceful. Friendly and interactive members of staff and community. Amazing forest and walks; a lot of learning about indigenous trees- to the Aberdare ecosystem. Fresh & tasty food...a lot of history too...it may not be fun for those who love noise and connectivity to the goings-on that we are used to. I highly recommend.

  Stunning tranquil location for your stay in the Rift Valley! The staff is so kind and helpful. We went on a lovely nature walk to the pool which is filled with volcanic waters with Steven and David has given us top notch meal service daily. We love the on property animals, the dogs and donkeys and the cottages are gorgeous and cozy. Each night a staff member lights a fire for us to come back to after dinner. I could stay here for a month! (Maybe longer) and not far from other lovely local attractions.

However, the limited outdoor activities might disappoint those seeking more adventure. On the bright side, the breakfast options are delightful, showcasing a variety that caters to different tastes. Conversely, the dinner choices are somewhat restricted, leaving room for improvement. The turn-down service could use enhancement to elevate the overall stay experience. One notable aspect for consideration is the provision of water. Given the lack of nearby shops and the hot weather, it would be beneficial for guests to receive more water, especially when considering the potential risk of dehydration. Currently, providing just one bottle per room may not suffice. In summary, Malu Lodge is a solid choice for those desiring a private and comfortable stay. With a few adjustments to the water supply, dinner options, and turn-down service, it has the potential to elevate itself to a five-star haven in the heart of Nakuru.

  Been coming to this place for many years with friends and family. What a gem! Friendly and competent staff, beautiful surroundings. Last remaining bit of cedar forest being conserved. True peace and tranquility just an hour and a half from Nairobi.
