The grounds are pretty with hiking trails and kid playground equipment, but the main building feels ramshackle like it was never properly completed. Food is only OK, and the lodge was deserted when visited. Clear views of Mount Kenya and good stargazing, but rooms lack basics (no tables, muddy bathrooms) and hot water isn't reliable.
