  Loved the potential of this place but so many things ensured that I will never go back. -First thing is the mosquitos in the room... I couldn't sleep. -Room was decent but wifi wasn't good enough for me to work from. -Service wasn't bad, especially when requesting food or eating at the rooftop bar but no one even mentioned the rooftop bar until the last night I was there. The rooftop bar is nice though. I like the location. It's a great location. Now the part that really ticked me off and was so disappointing: So upon checking in, my card was accidentally charged twice (I assume it was an accident) because the attendant thought I needed a pin and instead of asking, just charged me twice. No big deal, she was nice and apologetic but I've lived in Kenya enough that I told her, I need to make sure it's reversed and I'm not just told it will be for weeks. I was promised it would be within the week. I leave Eldoret and the next week, no one calls to notify me of what's going on, I had to call in. I talk to a different attendant and she just pacifies me but I can tell she doesn't understand how annoying this is nor how unprofessional it is, she's kind of aloof about it. They tell me it will be taken care of and that the manager isn't in. Another week goes by. No calls to me again as a follow and courtesy to show me they are taking care of this. I have to call in and if I didn't, I wouldn't have heard from them. This time the woman who accidentally double-charged me answers and I tell her I'll reverse the charge on my end if they don't rectify it. I didn't wanna do that because the place is close to where I like to run and I'm willing to give it another try if they do what's right. I wanted to see what type of business this was and the level of professionalism and honesty they had. The manager hops on the line while I'm talking to her and starts asking me for my banking info so they can reverse it. I tell him, there's no way I'm giving him my banking info. Just by the impetuousness of his tone alone, not to mention it wasn't smart for a couple reasons. He says he'll mpesa me the refund. A day or so later I get a text message of him saying that I reversed the charges and I now owe them another 15k ksh. I'm laughing at the audacity at this point but I wanna see how far this is going to go so I play ball. I ask for proof as he says his bank notified him. He said he can't provide me proof. Then he insinuates that I'm not being a gentlemen and I should just pay it. I go back and forth with him, he makes a light threat of having means to handle this as he has my info and sends me a pic of my passport and the receipt of the double charge (LOL, why he sent the receipt of the double charge IDK, it strengthens my case). I call in to talk to him. The woman who originally checked me in picks up. I ask for him she says hold on and hangs up. I'm not sure if it was an accident or not (it's Kenya, people just hang up abruptly without saying bye or anything). I then get a Whatsapp message from the actual hotel business and I assume it's her, judging by her texting tone (she was nice) and she admits they made a mistake and there was an issue processing my card (yeah it was swiped twice) and I just need to have it reversed on my end. I'm assuming she doesn't know her boss is being shady. I ended up reversing the one charge only as the other is legit. Needless to say, don't go to this place. Looking at the reviews, a lot of them are from the hotel. Jeff Omondi has left a review and he's the manager LOL, so just be warned. It's too bad as I'm so easy to please and despite the mosquitos and bad wifi, I was willing to come back. I'm not even sure I've ever left a google review before but wanted others to know so this doesn't happen to them. Good businesses refund when they make mistakes like this, not doing so isn't only unprofessional it makes it look like the business doesn't understand how to treat customers so they can retain them and build the business.

  A very comfy and serene hotel. The rooftop is so magnificent. You can play pool and have the views of surroundings. The best conference facilities...the chairs are so comfortable.

  I have celebrated my birthday there and the staff really put in effort to make me enjoy it. The food and drinks were so nice

  Very poor services, their food tasted very bad especially the milkshake which was overly expensive and tasted like milk and food color combined , they followed me outside the gate thinking I had not paid for meals shouting at me to go back, only to confirm that I had paid and I had even previously confirmed with the waiter before stepping out . Do not go to that hotel.

  Had a fantastic stay! The staff was incredibly welcoming, the room was spotless, and the amenities exceeded expectations. Would definitely come back and highly recommend to others! From reception, to meals to conference halls to washrooms to rooftop...this place is the only hotel surviving within the realm and epitome of Eldoret city with luxury
