  Budget hotel in the town centre. Clean and I had a room with the view of Lake Victoria. The staff were so nice and let me checked in without payment as I didn't have cash with me and they don't take card payments. I literally walked everywhere around town without the use of the taxi. Will definitely use the place again in future. There's a restaurant adjacent to the hotel with nice affordable food.

  My answer to your answer: Could you please mention during booking that your facilities, such as the hallway and conference rooms, are also allowed to be used for partying at night? I wouldn't have stayed for a weekend. The other guests probably didn't complain about the noise, because the other guests were mainly these students. Booking.com states that the hotel has a quiet hours from 10pm to 7am. Why are you lying on the site or not acting according to your own rules? It's true that I stayed at the hotel for over a week, but I've stayed at worse places at night, so I'm not surprised by dust, dirt and mold. The location of the hotel was also good. The fact that your staff did nothing at all to the students partying in the hallway at night was the last straw and we changed hotel. We were not offered a quieter room. You also said in your response that the hotel was full. How could you have moved us to a quieter room at 2am? Be honest. Luckily, a nice hotel was found 400 meters away for half the price :) You could have mentioned the renovation the day before instead of waking me up by knocking several times in the morning. I hope you learn your lesson and either be an honest and open party hotel where you can party at night in the hallways or train your staff to direct students to the club or to their rooms after midnight. Original post: Do not stay at this hotel. Definitely not worth 2000 shillings. I have stayed at a better place that cost 800. A group of students were partying in the conference room and hallway until 2am and the staff did nothing to stop it, despite repeated requests. Another morning they were renovating and the staff came knocking on the door to make sure I woke up and got up, only to tell me they were renovating now. Thank you, I heard it half an hour ago. The rooms are dirty, shabby and smell musty. The bathroom is moldy. The sheets are torn and too small for the beds. The fan does not work. The window was broken and it rained in the room, and you can hear traffic noise in the room as early as 6am. I highly recommend that you choose another hotel.

  Set in a high populated area of kisumu town, but conveniently near the kamas bus stop and trans county matatu terminus. Went for takeaway supper and was served well and the food was fresh and tasty and though I was given chicken back instead of thigh.

  It was a bad experience. We had mold in the bathroom all over the wall. Also when I entered the bathroom there was a huge cockroach sitting on the toilet. The bed nets were dirty and the room in general was not clean. It is cheap, yes, but I expect a minimum standard even if it is cheap. The woman on the counter was friendly. Didn’t try the breakfast as hunger was gone but looked ok.
