About

Right next to the UN and US Embassy, so it's fortress-secure but also surprisingly welcoming — staff arrange safari outings without you asking, the coffee is excellent, and they'll drive you around Gigiri for free. John makes the best mocktails in Nairobi.

Very secure and quiet resort right next to UN offices and US Embassy. Staff were wonderfully friendly and welcoming. Rooms are a high standard. Restaurant food was good, breakfast ok. Coffee excellent. They provide free car travel in the local area, and airport transfers for a reasonable fee.

I just had the best mocktail ever! Truly exceptional service and attention to detail. The mocktail was perfectly balanced and beautifully presented. Thank you, John, for the amazing experience, hands down the best mocktail and service I’ve ever had!

This was my third visit to Nairobi and the Lion Villas 2 was the best hotel I stayed in. Great staff, great room and environment. Definitely again! Highly recommended.

My girlfriend and I booked this boutique hotel stay because of the proximity to the US embassy, we had a tourist visa interview. The place is very nice, relaxing, they did our laundry, good food options, and a kitchen that we used to cook food. Would highly recommend, Gigiri is a safe, walkable area, very close to Village Market mall, which contains Carrefour supermarket, KFC, a pharmacy with an extensive selection of medications, and very close to a number of United Nations facilities and where a number of embassies are located in Nairobi.

We had an amazing stay at Gigiri Lion Villas 2 — 5 stars without a doubt! From the moment we arrived, the hospitality exceeded all expectations. On our last day, we had an early morning safari outing, and I had casually asked the front desk to arrange it for us. To our surprise, they went above and beyond by preparing fresh fruit bowls for us before 6 AM — without us even asking! The food here is also delicious. If you visit, don’t miss the Pistachio Shake — it’s a must-try! The overall cleanliness of the place is great, and everything felt well taken care of. Highly recommended!
