The dam views and nature walk are great, plus you can take a boat out on the water. Food's fresh and served to order, but rooms need maintenance — torn mosquito nets, missing toilet seats, and mosquitos all night. Come for a day visit and the garden gazebos, skip the overnight unless they've upgraded.

Excellent customer service. Clean rooms
An intimate, all-suite boutique hotel in Karen with four-poster beds and Out of Africa ambiance. At $350 for a Deluxe Suite, Hemingways offers genuine luxury — but Karen's isolation is the trade-off.
