  Overall it's a beautiful place. The first room they gave me was smelling paint so I had to change it. The rooms of course are spacious and love it. Love the turn down service too. The only 2 issues I have with Swahili is at restaurants or the beach side, they run after tourists (white) to serve them meanwhile leaving other kenyans tourists (black) i.e. me for long periods without any service. You literally have to call them all the time for any type of service. I come to Diani every year and haven't experienced this in any hotel. This was the first time, I was shocked, flabbergasted and very disappointed. Unfortunately, I'm not going to endure this where I live plus in my own country. And the other issue was just lack of variety of food. Other than that, my stay was wonderful because there were people (masseuses/staff from Swahili spa, Zanzibar staff and Clinton who went above and beyond.😎

  Me and my partner stayed at Swahili beach for 4 nights between Christmas and new years in December 2025. For the duration of our stay and from the moment we checked in we were greeted with smiles, warmth and made to feel at home and at ease. Every member of staff was so friendly and helpful. Our executive room was super luxurious with a super king bed, huge living room, balcony, rainfall shower, robes, two toilets. We were even given handmade gifts and hand written notes to take home the night before NYE which was a really nice touch. I loved our days by the pool and evenings in each restaurant. I highly recommend the couples aromatherapy massage in the spa too. One day we left the hotel to explore another local beach and restaurant but after one hour we soon came back to Swahili as the service was not the same and we did not feel as welcome. If you are looking for a place to unwind, rest and re-charge and a place that you feel pampered and well looked after - look no further. The hotel and staff worked so hard setting up the NYE lights, dinner, band, music, DJ + fireworks and personalised table settings, which was the icing on the cake of our stay and a great way to start the new year. We really appreciated every single member of staff in the lobby, restaurants, bars, poolside, chefs, housekeepers and servers that made our stay extra special, thank you so much. It was a NYE we will never forget :)

  10/10 ! This hotel is amazing ! The hotel itself and its pools are absolutely stunning and the food is incredible but what makes it are the amazing staff . I have never felt more welcome, everyone you meet is friendly and they remember everyone (names, drinks orders etc ) and are genuinely happy to see you and have a chat. Everything is kept clean (including the 9 pools ) and the beach area . The food is also fantastic, we enjoyed every meal and would recommend going half board (breakfast and dinner) as they have a buffet, beach bar, seafood/tepanyaki restaurant and Indian restaurant at the resort all included. The beach bar was our favourite spot as it has a great with a wide selection of cocktails and drinks (all reasonably priced) and is always playing good music. They can also arrange trips / activities for you and there is a supermarket in walking distance. And there are always tuk tuk (also very reasonably priced ) available to grab to explore Diani ! Highly recommend! Very sad to leave

  We stayed at the Swahili Beach resort for a week as a couple, and the experience was simply wonderful. The hotel is beautiful and well maintained, with plenty of pools, a stunning beach, and a relaxing, luxurious atmosphere. The food was excellent – a wide variety of delicious restaurants, all included in both half-board and full-board options. The spa was fantastic and added an extra level of indulgence to our stay. Above all, the service was excellent. The staff genuinely see and care for each guest, paying attention to every detail. Special thanks to Sila, the head waiter manager, and to Adam, Stevie, and Abdallah for their exceptional service, professionalism, and constant smiles. A perfect vacation – we would happily return and highly recommend this resort.

  Not the 5-star experience we were hoping for. We chose the Swahili Resort because we were looking for a relaxing 5-star getaway, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to our expectations. The rooms are nicely decorated, but we were initially given one that had a very strong smell of mold — so much so that even our clothes started to absorb the odor. We realized this was likely an issue with the ground-floor rooms. After the first night, we asked to change room, and thankfully, the staff moved us upstairs. I would definitely not recommend the ground-floor rooms. Two other disappointing aspects were the sea and the food. The beach is not particularly nice — in fact, the sunbeds are placed on a raised terrace rather than close to the water’s edge. As for the food, it was quite bad. We tried both the seafood and beach restaurants, and when we ordered the grilled catch of the day, it tasted burnt, as if the grill hadn’t been cleaned in months. On a positive note, the swimming pool area is beautiful and very atmospheric, even though the water wasn’t perfectly clean, and the room decor is tasteful. If you’re simply looking for a place to relax by the pool and don’t have high expectations for the food, this resort might still work for you — otherwise, it’s not the luxurious experience it claims to be.
