This hotel does not meet 5-star standards and is closer to a weak 3-star. When we entered the pool, we noticed the water had a very strange smell, and afterward some of us developed bladder infections, which raises serious concerns about water hygiene. At the beach bar, staff often forgot orders, brought wrong drinks, did not bring the rest of the order, and even forgot to bring the bill. Food choice in the hotel is very limited. The only real positives were very clean rooms and a nice beach.

Arrival was smooth with a nice setting and a friendly, efficient welcome. However, the rooms feel quite dated, and the room phone was not working properly, making it difficult to request services like towels. Breakfast is fairly varied with a good selection. The outdoor areas, including the pool and beach, are very pleasant with a beautiful view. Unfortunately, the frequent presence of vendors approaching or staring at guests is uncomfortable and takes away from the overall charm. The spa was also closed during my stay.

NOT RECOMMENDED: My family and I had previously stayed here in 2021 so had high expectations! We checked in on 29th December and checked out on 2nd January. The hotel has drastically gone down in many aspects.Check was extremely slow, in took us three hours despite calling and informing the reception of our arrival. When booking we had specified sea facing ground floor rooms; we were allocated second floor rooms facing an ugly construction site which I believe is the abandoned spa! The room had a damp floor throughout which was very uncomfortable. The only plus was the hot water. The meals are boring and lack variety unlike in 2021. Services at the beach bar were also very slow. The Zuri team lack motivation with a lot of repetitive shows. The only interesting highlight during the New Year dinner was the fireworks display; the food had no wide variety. Generally the staff seemed demotivated and the managers totally hands off unlike in 2021 when the managers were engaging with guest on their comfort and stay. A lot needs to happen to improve the service plus major renovations for the dilapidated facilities.

Great if you are looking for a day pass private beach. This is a true private beach where your belongings will be looked after and you can enjoy the beach without being bothered. It also includes a buffer style lunch that has good choices

Stayed 4 nights 5 days. 4 adults, 2 kids. No travel agent used. The lazy days at the beach & the evenings were my favourite part of the vacation. Diani beach is an absolute gem as usual. Loved building sand castles. The beach community is friendly but if you do not need help or to buy madafu (coconut water), just politely tell them so. The kids always looked forward to the ideas for crazy castles designs so we paid a little to get help building a whole sand colony. The food selection at the dinner buffet was always excellent. Different age groups, different pallets, and we all always found a great dish to rave about every evening. The evening entertainment was also great especially Friday night. The rooms are a bit dated but the staff did their best to keep everything super clean. The staff is extremely helpful too. Loved the birthdays singing. A jumbo club is also available for older kids and they really took care of the kids during play & pool time. Loved my stay.
