  Promising hotel, but room maintenance needs improvement. Our first room had a strong damp smell, and the replacement room was affected by cigarette smoke from a neighboring guest. Room cleaning was also not good, as you'll notice a lot of dust behind the furniture. WiFi also wasn't working, and when it worked it was too slow. Drinks (including water) at the restaurant have to be paid for separately (not sure why that's not included in the reservation). They also played loud music all afternoon on New Year's Eve, so you couldn't sleep or relax. The New Year's fireworks show was however great and the staff were friendly

  Plaza Beach Hotel, Mombasa The food was great, the waiters were excellent, and the hotel has a good beachfront location with nice activities for kids. However, the rooms were a major disappointment. We found bedbugs in the kids’ room, which completely affected our family stay. Although rooms were changed, no one apologized, and there was zero follow-up from management to check on us after such a serious issue. There seems to be a "Guest Relationship officer" but his/her desk is mostly empty Bedbugs and lack of accountability are unacceptable, especially for a family hotel. Management response and room hygiene urgently need improvement.

  Service is top notch,their service staff so kind and great.My baby was sorted for all meals he needed while that was my main concern.I am definitely giving plaza beach hotel a second run next holiday and I recommend 10/10

  We stayed here to celebrate my daughter’s birthday and overall had a great experience. The hotel is very close to the beach, which made getting around easy and stress-free. The staff genuinely stood out. Friendly, helpful, and accommodating from start to finish. Check-in was flexible, which we really appreciated. The only real downside is that rooms facing the pool can hear music from the bar, especially in the evening, so light sleepers might want to request a quieter room. The Wi-Fi was also a bit slow at times. That said, these were minor issues compared to how enjoyable the stay was. We felt welcomed, relaxed, and well taken care of. Overall, an amazing experience and a place I’d happily recommend.

  If you want silence and peace, this hotel isnt for you as there is loud music turned on the whole time. If you wanna swim in the afternoons, theres loud music blaring by the pool, giving you zero peace of mind and they dont listen to you if you ask them to turn it off. At night, if you have little kids who want to sleep early without disturbance, then good luck because theres loud music outside until late night. Also, the staff dont clean the room properly, theres no attention to detail when it comes to cleaning the rooms (we stayed a week so we know well). On a positive note, the swimming pool was amazing and clean and the staff was freindly. Also the location is right on the beach and their garden area is really nice!
