  New years family dinner! We reserved a dinner for 7 to usher in the new year( 2026) at this resort in Malindi. The programme looked nice and when I asked about the menu, It seemed tantalising and a great way to usher in the new year. Unfortunately only the food, fireworks display and maasai dance lived up to expectation. The service was disorganised and some performances went Mia (with no explanation at all)! and the sound system was really poor. It was extremely loud at random intervals and the taste in music by the djs did not suite the occasion. The band however did try to salvage the situation by putting in effort and delivering some good tunes. Plus there was no one guiding the guests through the programme - Some people randomly just went to get food and well.. the rest followed! When it was time to countdown is when some kids (not all) were randomly passed (mini vuvuzelas) and someone finally got on the microphone and started telling guests to cheer and the kids to make some celebratory noise. Considering the cost of the dinner and reputation of the place, it was truly disappointing. There is always room for improvement. Happy 2026!

  If you have experienced a five star hotel, this is no where near it. This “resort” should be atleast a 3 star (and that’s me being generous). Additionally, the classism held here should never be held at such a place. There weren’t many foreigners here (and that’s for a reason) and yet the very few were held to a very high appreciation in comparison to non-foreigners or locals. The place is in need for a complete renovation in order to achieve the so called 5 star hotel they are, it is not possible to have a 5 star hotel when only 8 channels on the television is working. There is 2 good things I have to say about this place, the staff were completely welcoming and kind. The food was great but needs variety, my stay was for a week and yet i saw the same food every single night. Also, the placement of the air conditioners in the room was completely odd, in some rooms it was above the door which was unable to reach certain corners of the rooms, and in some it was above the bed which would directly hit anyone staying underneath it making it unpleasant and uncomfortable after some time. Lastly, the pathway to the rooms were quite dark making it lovely cozy hiding spots for crabs compared to more lit places where there was barely any crabs. I didn’t enjoy my stay here and regretted spending my money on this hotel. If you are coming here, i’d be aware of all of these. Thank You.

  I had a wonderful stay at Ocean Beach Resort & Spa. The rooms are beautiful, spacious, and tastefully designed with a charming wooden finish. They are impeccably clean and well maintained, creating a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, with a soft and fluffy duvet that ensured a restful night’s sleep. Overall, it was a delightful experience, and I would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a peaceful and luxurious getaway.

  We stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks and our stay was perfect from start to finish. The whole team is lovely, offering good advice and being discreet. Despite the weather being a bit unpredictable on some days (which is no different from Paris), we were able to enjoy the hotel's facilities (SPA, etc.) and its magnificent pools. We also enjoyed a 6-day safari and everything was perfect. We can't wait to return to this rejuvenating and very peaceful place. Thank you ! Charlène & Cyril

  Our stay at Ocean Beach was exceptional from start to finish. Booking and check-in were smooth, the rooms were spacious, beautiful and comfortable and the calm, peaceful atmosphere made it truly relaxing. The food was by far the best we’ve ever had while on holiday, fresh, variety and generously served. The service was exceptionally excellent, friendly and warm, with every detail thoughtfully taken care of. It’s a place we would happily return to and have already recommended to friends.
