  We went scuba diving from Kenya Beach. Getting there was a bit difficult due to road construction, but the experience itself was fabulous. The instructor was very experienced and patient, taking the time to train us properly before the dive. As a first-timer, I felt completely comfortable and confident because of the instructor’s guidance.

  We had a lovely stay at Kenya Bay Beach Hotel. The hospitality was 5 star, food was scrumptious and hotel has a really beautiful location. The rooms we had were right near the ocean. The owner Jaswinder went out of his way to meet all our needs and was always there to make our stay more comfortable. The beach is close by and everything is so convenient. The staff are amazing. Can’t wait to go back again soon. Thank you to all the staff and Jaswinder. See you soon

  Good Hotel, friendly staff, nice food. Located near the beach although the standard room which I stayed in is a little bit dated especially the bathroom. Nevertheless I had a nice stay

  I can understand if there is a confusion if someone is reading the reviews of this hotel - a big mix of 1 and 5 star reviews. I think I know why. I booked a superior room and was by mistake first taken to a standard room. I would definitely not be happy in one of those - they are small and in dire need of renovation. However the superior rooms are really nice. They are way more spacious and of higher standard. I would strongly advise anyone to add a little extra for at least a superior room! It’s like going from a worn down guest house to a really nice hotel. I think the variations of the reviews can be mostly explained by this factor. For the money you pay for a superior room this is great value for a beach front hotel in Mombasa. The location is just perfect. The pool area is great, right on the beach. All the staff are super friendly and the on site manager is extremely accommodating and service minded. My experience here is definitely 5 star.
