    This is a beautiful but very dangerous beach. In Aug 2023, while walking here, two men with pangas attacked us (husband, kid and I) and robbed us, three fingers of my right got deep cuts when I tried to resist. The fingers got stitched in the nearby Medina hospital, we reported the case to Malindi police station who didn't do a search of the beach to find our belongings but told us that robbery with violence along that beach is frequent.

    Please DO NOT walk along that beach! While me, my wife and dauther were walking there, we were attacked by 2 men with machete. They were aggressive and forced us to give our bags, phones, everything we had... my wife had a reflex to defend herself, but that ended in a big cut on her fingers. Fishermen saw it happening, they didn't care. We heared many stories about other attacks at this beach (before and after this event). Just don't do it, don't risk your life please.

    Great Open Beach. Mostly empty (never more than 2 people every 50m) because it is quite expansive and has many access points. It's also windy most of the times though very warm to hot sun always even on cloudy days. One of the best beach self hangout spots in Malindi with family and friends (pack a picnic style) or even for 1-2 hours of recreation or swimming if your stay locally.

    Absolutely amazing to see that whatever it is metallic glitter sand it really looks like gold!! It's also wonderful to swim! But the only big minus is the really annoying beachboys there. It's important to get rude and say NO about 20 times before you can enjoy the place. They even disturb fellow Kenyans that are not from here.
