  This place is under the community still. If visiting,buy yourself a dark 🕶️ for extreme winds,sun and dust particles. Buy an Arafat like this of mine,it's 800/- athe site they sell it at 1000/- And 200/ for hire. Sand dune bike rates differs for 1hr it goes for 5000/-. Deal with the rider one on one and bargain the price. I hope this helps.

  Mambrui is the small Kenya Dubai. The sand dunes are awesome and the ATV rides are expensive and worth the pennies. The ride on the dunes is worth. The rides extends to the beach line. And the speeds thrills. The guides are worth the amount paid. It's well organised at the gate. The community based organization managing the place is well organised. The entry fees is 300 person and 500 for one guide for the entire group. The Arafat's are rentable at 300 or buyoff at 1000. Also the Kanzu and the Buibui are also rentable at 300 or buyoff for 1000. The ATVs is where the costs are, from 5mins for 1000 to one hour for 4500. Buy it's worth the thrill. A repeat is very possible.

  Mambrui Sand Dunes (Dubai Ndogo) – A Heavenly Hidden Gem Mambrui Sand Dunes, fondly known as *Dubai Ndogo*, is nothing short of magical. A truly hidden gem—super terrific, heavenly made, and breathtaking in every sense. The golden sand dunes rise dramatically right next to the Indian Ocean, creating a rare and stunning landscape that rivals the famous Dubai desert dunes, only with the added beauty of a sea breeze and ocean views. What makes this place even more special is the **local community**. Through income generated from tourism, they have done a **marvelous job developing and maintaining the site**. From the moment you enter, you’re welcomed by serenity—beautiful trees and greenery flourishing in a desert-like environment. The facilities are impressive: **sparkling clean toilets**, tastefully decorated with artistic drawings, super cool and clearly well cared for. I absolutely loved it. There’s no shortage of activities: * Quad bike riding (very affordable, from as low as Ksh 500 for 5 minutes) * Scenic walks across the dunes * Stunning beach views that are truly breathtaking * Horse and camel riding * Archery * Middle Eastern-style photography with **kanzu and arafat** for a full desert experience The views, the vibes, and the overall experience are unforgettable. It’s honestly disappointing that the **government has invested nothing here**, despite the site being extremely attractive and full of tourism potential. This place deserves recognition and support—it’s already world-class purely through community effort. Accessibility is excellent: just about **1 km off the Malindi–Garsen Road**, on tarmac. There are a few potholes, but it’s very manageable and easily accessible. If you’re in Malindi or the Coast region, Mambrui Sand Dunes is a **must-visit**. A perfect blend of nature, culture, adventure, and community-driven excellence. One of Kenya’s most underrated tourist treasures. 🌍✨

This location is truly breathtakingly beautiful, offering the best of both worlds as it is situated right next to the beach. It is a perfect spot for photography enthusiasts and provides thrilling activities like riding quad bikes. Pro Tip: Be sure to connect with the locals there! They are incredibly helpful, and I highly recommend Furaha, who is an excellent guide and takes truly exceptional photos—perfect for capturing your experience at Dubai Ndogo.
