  A really exceptional experience. Modern but with a sense of place. Incredibly warm, wonderful unattentive staff. Gorgeous spa, world-class massage therapists. Top notch cuisine from Chef Sudi Baha.

  Where to begin with Finch Hattons? This lodge is the nicest place I have ever stayed and, as an avid traveler and adventurer, I have stayed in hundreds of places. I cannot wait to return here. Jonathan, the General Manager, has put together an exquisite team, who’s constant attention to detail, while always being courteous, friendly, efficient and professional, is beyond equal, in my experience. The whole experience oozes understated luxury, and one is left wanting for nothing, but all the while with huge focus on sustainability and conservation. After 3 days here, my wife and I felt like we were leaving our family, and we were so sad to depart. Exquisite food, great pool and spa, beautiful accommodation, and exceptional eco / game viewing experience with Evans, our personal guide. We had 3 nights here, as part of an amazing 2 week Kenyan holiday that also included Lake Naivasha, and the Masai Mara. We plan to return to Kenya next year but will only be visiting Finch Hattons.

  EPITOME OF LUXURY I’ve travelled all over the world but rarely I have enjoyed a place so above the expectations like Finch Hattons. The location is in the heart of Tsavo West and to say that it is stunning it’s a downgrading. Starting from the wonderful restaurant area with view over a delightful pond, the spa with the infinity pool and a yoga room with the most amazing view, the lounge area and top of the top the “tents” that are the epitome of luxury. Each one with a breathtaking view of the pond (where you can see crocs, hippos and tens of birds and mammals coming to drink) and a wonderful taste of furniture where the top is the copper freestanding bathtub. The food is delicious and shows a great attention, so the incomparable service of all the staff. Our thanks to Oscar, our personal waiter, and his friendly professionality always with a smile. About game drives, in Tsavo is quite difficult to see cats (while there are plenty of elephants, zebras, giraffes) due to the environment but the knowledge and passion of our guide Matthew made the experience memorable. I would have never ended to listen to his stories of the bush. The extra activities (all included) have been the cherry on the cake. From the breakfast in the bush to the aperitif at sunset with the “Masai Olympics” that has been not only a top luxury experience but also a super funny one thanks also to Isaac and his entertaining spirit. We think that Virgin Limited Collection did a great deal picking this African gem in its list of top accommodations in the world.

  We didn't actually stay here but ended up having to go for a few hours as our car broke down, and we needed some help. Everyone was super amazing. They were so helpful and really kind when quite frankly, they didn't need to be as we weren't their customers. We ended up staying for lunch, which is again not normal as it's normally an included meal in their guests' rates. But on this occasion, they did make an exception. In general, the facilities looked really lovely, exclusive and luxurious. But more than that, the staff and their treatment to others were exceptional.

  Super place. The staff is excellent. Service is great. The game drive was excellent. The driver was very knowledgeable, patient and caring. We got to see leopard twice at different spots. The lion roar could be heard in the night from our tent. I would definitely go again here.
