Total relaxation. We stayed for 3 nights and absolutely loved it. You can sit for hours listening and watching the birds. My husband did a 5 hour hike and I went on a trip on one of their well looked after horses. The staff were so kind and the food was delicious! I contacted the hotel to ask if they had a driver to pick us up from Nairobi and they recommended a lovely lady called shelmith, she organised our transfers to and from Nairobi.

This is an awesome place for relaxing, trekking and bird watching with the prestine forest. The rooms are very comfortable with the fire place and hot water. Restaurant is very good with food and drinks. Enjoyed the stay with trekking and bird watching.

What a gem! They're doing it right, preserving the structures and vibe. This isn't a 5-star eco-lodge or safari camp, but I'd choose this spot any day. Great food and service. Excellent value for money. Lovely, very clean cottage. And in response to some of the other reviews: our fire was lit every night along with plenty of extra wood. And we had abundant hot water. Highly recommend.

Unbelievable place to experience. Remote, natural, and some of the best food in Kenya. All the staff is amazing, knowledgeable, and kind. Rooms are cosy and heated by fireplace. Tons of birds, amazing views, horses, goats, cows. The perfect place to get back in touch with nature. Bring a coat and hiking shoes!
