  Rooms were clean but not to expected standards since my flash toilet was rusted. And only one nob flashing.. Please renovate rusted parts.. Have full length mirror in the bathroom.. Water flow- good and warm water.. Please include slippers ..or slip ons at a cost than incontinence customers.. Otherwise customer service front desk very good..at least for us Elizabeth, received us v well.. The young light skinned gentleman was very polite and responsive when we called.. Tanga bar, excellent..with one massai guy very engaging to customers. Moonshine- good though we just popped in and out.. Buffet- fair. But pls include one drink to the package for half board guys Reception- renovate and have bright color for floor tiles..have air conditioning for reception. Gate- is it possible to change that shouting yellow and blue? Those colors Make the hotel look cheap.. Ambience- dining..remove those lessos from the tables please.. Otherwise- good stay.. Staff are polite & sensitive ..didn't meet an arrogant one at least... Location- good beach but extreme noise from nearby neighboring bar called koroga Grass- water pls

  Very Disappointing Experience – Poor Hospitality Our experience at Reef Hotel Mombasa was extremely disappointing and exhausting. We arrived at the hotel at 4:00 AM after a long journey. We understood that check-in time was 12:00 PM and were willing to wait, but the way we were treated was unacceptable. Instead of allowing us to rest in the lounge, we were told we could not stay there. We were exhausted, yet the staff placed us in a run-down restroom, which was in terrible condition and did not even have running water. This showed a complete lack of basic hospitality and care for guests. Because of this, we decided to leave the hotel to go eat and return later, expecting our rooms to be ready by check-in time. We came back at 3:00 PM, well past the official check-in time, only to be told that our rooms were still not ready. It was only after we started complaining that the staff suddenly said the rooms were available. This entire experience was frustrating, unprofessional, and far below the standards expected from a hotel. Proper communication, basic cleanliness, and simple courtesy were all missing. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, respect, or decent customer service.

  The service is really wanting. I really hope you could read the reviews and implement them. The rooms are not as pleasant as advertised, the bathroom situation is not good as well , some toilets don’t flush and the water pressure is lacking. The food is lacking in variety.Tip: Ask for bacon during breakfast, there’s no kid friendly meals at the buffet at any given time. Front office staff could do better in matters customer service and satisfaction it’s hospitality maybe make it hospitable? However the location is good 10/10 , the gardens are clean and very pleasant to look at, pool is clean they have attendants round the clock to watch the kids

  My family and I stayed at Reef hotel for a couple of days during our vacation and here is my true review. The reception was generally okay , friendly staff and nuthing much . The rooms are very old and could do with renovations. The bathrooms handles and taps are spotted with rust and the give the impression of uncleanliness. The room I was in wasnt thoroughly cleaned and I had to mention to the cleaner to do . The towels are very old and disgusting . The beddings were okay but the beds are very old and you can see the dirty spots on them (I wish I took a pics). Due to high corrosion the door lock are also rusted and It can be a task to open the doors and sometimes stay jammed and you have to use the balcony door( we were on the ground floor) to access the room meaning we had to leave it unlocked. The balcony door was also falling apart. The pool is very very clean and they had very attentive pool guards thus as a parent I had no worry (but still keep an eye on your kids😊). The tanga bar had great cock tails and the food wasnt soo bad maybe 3/5. But as for the staff 4/5. Dinner and breakfast was well catered and there was a variety of food to choose from. We had an issue with one chef situated at barbecue spot that had a sour attitude but we appreciate the other staff member. Reef hotel has a night club which is close to the accommodations and could get very noisy at night. The loud music could go on till wee hours of the morning which was kinda annoying when trying to sleep. Personally I found the rates abit high in comparison to the services and the amenities rendered. Accommodation: 2/5 Food: 3/5 Staff: 3/5 Rates:2/5 Accessibility:5

  I stayed at the hotel for 3 days and generally enjoyed my stay. The food was okay, especially the rice. The staff were polite, very friendly, and warm. The rooms were okay, though some improvements can still be made. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.
