  The first day was ok-ish, then started the bad experience. First with bad service and manager/owner, very rude, you could tell staff are scared of something. I was so disappointed at check in, then I noticed how bad staff are being mistreated. Oh my God! Why hasn’t Labour Union done anything with this? I searched several reviews and found out it is an ongoing recurring problem. The beds are old and there was no water in my room How can a hotel charge that premium and not have bed and breakfast? Breakfast at an additional charge and yet treat clients badly? Very bad treatment of staff in the hotel and no water The hotel is outdated, no phone service to reception This place is not a hotel it is run like a house with guests they do not like.   This beach hotel was a major letdown. The room was dirty, AC wasn't working, and the "sea view" was basically a glimpse of the ocean. stale bread and instant coffee. Service? Forget it. Staff were MIA when we needed them. The pool was okay, but didn't justify the Ksh 10k+ price tag. 1/5 stars.

  Was there for about 1.5 weeks. Had some issues. After they failed to install a moscito net and the AC was not working, they gave me another room on the 2nd day, again with no mosquito net around the bed as I wanted this and it does exist in other rooms. Well they did not even ask if I would upgrade etc. Quality of room is outdated and old. The Owner came on the last day after I checked out and apologised and told me: "Well you had some problem I heard, but I'm sure you had a relaxing stay and then she took off!" This Hotel may work ok for lower italian middle class tourists. But if you want tourist from Switzerland that are used to better service and client relationship even in this price category..you should simply change ownership, I think they don't really care about guests. The only positive thing is the Bar and Restaurant Lost near the beach. Very good food people and innovative events.But that is owned by external people. I would give the hotel 2 stars maximum. The people working there are friendly, that was the only plus.

  One of my worst experience ever! We complained about the Air-conditioning not working from the moment we checked in. First of all it’s a very old rusty machine and clearly looks like it needs to be replaced Requested for a fan as the heat was unbearable. I was not attended to after reminding them 4 times (8am at 11am at 2pm and 9pm)was told the the house keeper is bringing it. After 16 hours of waiting at 12 mid night I have been told the fans are not available. Clearly they were not bothered. Mosquitos everywhere!!! Staff very unhelpful and unprofessional. Bathroom smelling of sewage (room 203) Kettle rusted from inside , very unhygienic Broken furniture Rooms far from the reception with no phones to contact the reception This has been by far my worst experience in a hotel in malindi. Very disappointed to start my new year like this.

  I am writing to formally request a full refund for my booking. I was quoted a rate by your receptionist that differed significantly from my confirmed booking. Despite my concerns regarding my budget, I was pressured into making a payment that exceeded the agreed upon price. This is despite the fact that my Booking.com reservation was marked as a "prepayment" booking. Due to this pricing discrepancy and the unprofessional handling of the quote by your staff, I chose to cancel the reservation. I have been informed that a refund is being denied because the booking is "non-cancelable" however, Booking.com has confirmed that the final decision to waive cancellation fees rests entirely with the hotel. I am requesting that you authorize this refund immediately. It is unacceptable to hold a guest to a "no-refund" policy when the cancellation was caused by your employee’s misquotation and the hotel's failure to honor the original budget.
