Such an amazing hotel that a few more visits are needed. Pristine luxury villas coupled with postcard views and underlined by sublime seafood at the Mawimbi restaurant made for a very short day visit

This review concerns the restaurant, not the hotel. The location is beautiful, and our waitress was genuinely kind and attentive. Unfortunately, the overall experience deteriorated from disappointing to unacceptable. We waited over two hours for our food, after already waiting around 30 minutes just to receive menus and place our order. Delays can happen, but what made this particularly frustrating was the lack of clear communication or accurate updates. When the manager eventually came to speak with us, the explanation was uncomfortable and dismissive — framed as the restaurant being a “victim of its own success,” and implying that we had ordered too much (!)... but no real apologies. The irony was that when the food finally arrived, it was minor borderline bad. The pasta was soggy, the fish fingers and fries were cold, and the calamari dry. Espresso Martini bland. Three dishes had to be sent back, only to be returned reheated. It was only after insisting again that they were finally removed from the bill. Delays and mistakes can happen in any restaurant. It happened that night - to us and all the tables around us, and that’s ok. However, what’s important is to acknowledge it with grace and honesty. Instead, the explanation of management was defensive and dismissive, including remarks that appeared to blame local staff training and referenced the absence of a école hôtelière in Kenya. Coming from a foreign manager, this framing felt uncomfortable and inappropriate. A calm, respectful acknowledgment of the issue would have gone a long way.

We had a very poor experience at the Kasa Restaurant. We waited over two hours for our order, the food came out cold, the seafood was dry and the pasta overcooked. What made it worse was the way management handled our complaint, they were unfriendly and dismissive, and didn’t acknowledge the issue. For the price and expectations, this was unacceptable.

An absolutely sublime seafood experience! We came for the seafood at Mawimbi Restaurant and it was everything we hoped for and more. · Service: Impeccable! A special thanks to our waitress, Elton, who provided great recommendations. · Drinks: Fantastic for everyone. The non-alcoholic "Brain Power" tea is a must-try, and the alcoholic cocktails (ask for their special cocktails) were amazing. · Food: We had the Mawimbi Poseidon platter for our main meal. It was absolutely scrumptious, and the fries and salad complemented it perfectly. · Ambiance: The restaurant itself is beautiful. We loved every moment and will definitely be back again and again

I had the best time!! I visited kasa for dinner and my birthday. It's located, in a secluded area which i loved and it's beautiful with a great ocean view. The staff were very friendly and a burst of joy. A huge thanks to Emmanuel for a beautiful birthday surprise that I'll hold dear forever. He also ensured my needs were met regarding the cake since I don't take chocolate. One of the best cakes I've tasted. Each bite, was full of flavour and I not being a sweet tooth, loved the balance. I had a great experience overall and can't wait to come back!
