Located at Nrb CBD, Great room service.

This is definitely not a 4-star hotel. Don’t be misled by Google’s 4-star rating. Even the hotel’s own materials are inconsistent—some label it as a 3-star, while others still claim it’s a 4-star. It feels deceptive, as they’re misleading guests into thinking they’re booking a higher-rated hotel. When I confronted the staff, they admitted it was once rated 4 stars but has since been downgraded to 3. It doesn’t take much to guess why.

If you want the true Nairobi CBD experience without sacrificing hot showers and clean sheets, Clarion is the spot. Right opposite Jeevanjee Gardens, so you can sip your morning tea while people-watch like you’re in a live Netflix series. The rooms are comfy, Wi-Fi holds up for Zoom calls (unless Kenya Power decides otherwise), and the spa/gym combo is a bonus—because nothing says relaxation like hearing matatus hooting below as you do yoga. Parking is limited, so arrive early or perfect your parallel parking prayers. Overall, Clarion delivers city-center convenience with just the right dash of Nairobi chaos.
