  I stayed at the Raya Hotel last year, only because my flight arrived around 2 am and I couldn’t check into my Airbnb until 10 am, the airport taxi brought my friend and I there. They quoted us $80 for a few hrs sleep, I knew it was a scam because a typical 4 or 5 star Airbnb in Westlands with a swimming pool, restaurant and fitness center is $60-80 for a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment daily. And a 1 bedroom apartment in Westlands per day is $40/ daily. The Sheets were stained, the toilet didn’t have toilet paper, the location was sketchy right on the main road in the CBD which is sketchy at night. I do not recommend this place because they rip off tourists. My first day in Kenya I got scammed by this hotel. When I asked why is was so expensive they reduced the price to $60 although we just wanted to sleep/ rest for a few hrs as it was already 3am when we got there. We checked out at 6:30 am and waited at our Airbnb. They knew we were desperate and tired tourists so they scammed us. We stayed there on or about October 21, 2024 if management wants to confirm that I stayed. I’m sure they pocketed about $30 (from the $60 they charged us) because that hotel shouldn’t cost more than $30 per night.

  It's a nice place the prices are good and it's in CBD Nairobi, which is convenient if you're doing something in Nairobi. Perfect for business trip.

  The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable.. the beds are quite low and as you can see the net looks like it's been there for some time. Room service is great, they are very attentive and the best part is that they have a hot shower, which is needed cause Nairobi gets cold

  I spent six nights at Raya Hotel. Although I had an issue with the shower not heating and a mix-up about room availability, the staff, especially Phillis at the reception, was very welcoming. Her genuine smile made me feel right at home. The housekeeping team was also extremely kind and charming.

  Decent place, smack bang in the CBD ... Perfectly located. Rooms are just there, they need to be renovated, but if you're not fussy, the rooms are adequate. 😎 They have a restaurant that serves good food at good rates. Overall a decent place for a short term stay.
