  It used to be a beautiful place 10 years ago. Now it is like a horror movie. Public health officers should shut this down as there is moulds everywhere. It kinda looks like it flooded a few months ago and the hotel was affected badly and no renovations have been done. They still charge an arm and a leg for nothing. I would rather sleep in those 500/- than this one

  🚨 WARNING: Do Not Book lake Nakuru Flamingo Resort and Spa! It is disgusting, neglected, and completely Unsafe 🚨 I am writing this review to save fellow travelers from the absolute nightmare my group of seven tourists from The UK and I experienced at Lake Nakuru Flamingo Resort & Spa. I booked this property in February 2026 for my guests after inspecting it as a walk in guest in Feb, expecting a comfortable, relaxing stay, but what we were given in August 1st 2026 was a health hazard. The rooms that I was shown in Feb were nice and I was confident to book my guests in. The conditions of the rooms were genuinely shocking and unacceptable when my guests checked-in in August, it was different. They complained to me and shared the below photos, I called the hotel who denied and said those were not images from their hotel. So I had to drive to Nakuru from Nairobi at night to see for myself while the guests were still there. I left Nairobi at 9 PM arriving a few minutes passed mid night on 2nd Aug 2026. Below are my findings and I have attached a few videos that I took myself and indeed I confirmed what my guests had raised. 1. Severe Water Damage & Mold: The bathroom walls, ceilings, and doors were covered in black mold and peeling paint. The air was so stuffy and damp it felt unsafe to breathe. 2. Broken & Broken Down Facilities: The water heaters were rusted, corroded, and filthy. Light fixtures were broken and hanging off the walls, and even the towel racks were falling apart. 3. Terrible Hygiene: The sinks and floors were dirty, moldy and one of our client's beds didn't even have a mattress cover. 4. Zero Customer Service: I personally inspected the rooms and raised these issues directly with the hotel management, Mary, the director, who completely ignored us. No response, no apology, and zero accountability. She ignored our follow up emails, calls and WhatsApp chats. I am travel professional and I take my work seriouly, I love my job, I love clean and neat spaces. I am incredibly disappointed and furious. We paid for a proper resort experience and were given rooms that were completely unfit for human occupation. Does Tourism Regulatory Authority inspect these facilities before issuing them with lisences to operate? Nakuru County Government - Official and Department of Health Services Nakuru County or whoever is incharge of health and sanitation in Nakuru county, you are sleeping in your job. Our guests couldn't even sleep, I did not sleep either. I sneezed the whole night. Save your money, protect your health, and do not book this hotel. They do not care about their guests or their property. We are demanding a full refund. #LakeNakuruFlamingoResort #TravelWarning #BadService #KenyaTourism #NakuruHotels

  I had a wonderful experience at the hotel. I enjoyed the massage, swimming, and body scrub, and all the services were to my satisfaction. The staff were professional, friendly, and attentive, and the overall experience was relaxing and enjoyable. Everything met my expectations, and I would definitely visit again. Highly recommended!

  The rooms were old and weren't the best... But we're big and spacious. Best part was the staff were all smiling and willing to take effort to fix anything you brought up with them. Very hospitable and nice people. They made up for the small issues in the room. Hope they stay as friendly and helpful.
