  An old but comfortable hotel, good for a few days of stay at Nairobi. It has all the requirements of a decent hotel and the staff is very helpful. It appears that it is a popular place for hosting conferences and large groups as we saw many groups having breakfast together. The breakfast is served in a restaurant on the first floor and there is a good spread of Continental, African & Indian food items. It has a swimming pool, bar and a restaurant on the rooftop on 10th floor and the food was decent. We had a bit of problem with the air conditioning but it was sorted out. Located in Westlands, it is about 25 mins by road from the airport using the toll road.

  Service of the staff was spot on. There was only one hiccup with Room Service on my last night that the staff member had to visit my room 3 times on the last night. Other than that, front desk staff was amazing. The breakfast host was amazing, but the room was not so much. My room faces an office building that has the light shining into my room. The shower has hard water stains and calcium build up. The Front desk sent someone to clean the filth in the corner of the shower because I didn't want to look at it. The sprayer has rust stains on it. They have two twin beds put together with no foam or pillow top to make the King bed. So, if you roll over while you are sleeping, you will feel a hard spot on the bed. I did not have 1 night of good rest within the bed. Also, the TV service never was continuous. There was these color streaks and pauses within the sound as if they were having reception problems. The front desk told me that they had to reboot the Internet services into the hotel. If it is Internet service, then the bandwidth will need to be increased to accommodate the individuals watching. The other great service was the roof top bar. The 3 bartenders were absolutely great especially the female bartender Perus. She kept us drinking by engaging in conversation with my cousin and I. If we were to come back to Kenya soon, we would just visit the Golden Tulip just to go to the bar to talk to Perus. A good bar always need bartender to entertain and that will make you feel welcomed.

  Great location, easily serviced by Uber. The staff have been so friendly and helpful - Cosmas when we checked in and Laura at checkout, plus all the staff at the restaurant and bar on the 10th floor as well as those at breakfast and the ground floor coffee shop. Great facilities. Highly recommend this hotel.

  Went there for the high tea offer and it was an amazing experience. The place is beautiful from the decor to the art collection just beautiful. The services were top notch. If you are a sweet tooth kind a person this high tea experience would be best for you. Would definitely go back there.10/10

  What a brilliant hotel: big, bright, comfortable rooms; friendly, efficient service; and a great breakfast buffet. It's excellent value too. The gym deserves a special mention: it had lots of excellent equipment in a relatively compact space. There are helpful trainers to explain everything and a great selection of free weights. It has external members, so everything is well maintained. Really impressive
