  Very fine and nice hotel in Nairobi. We stayed 2 nights to visit Nairobi before going on our Amboseli and Tsavo West safari. The best breakfast buffet we have ever experienced!

  We truly loved our stay at the hotel. Its historic character combined with the beautiful gardens creates a very peaceful and unique atmosphere. The heated swimming pool was a very pleasant surprise. As the weather was quite cold during our stay, it made a big difference and was especially enjoyable for our daughter. The staff is extremely attentive and professional — congratulations to the entire team for the excellent service. That said, the rooms would benefit from a renovation. The carpets and wardrobes had a very strong odor, and the shower enclosure allowed water to leak into the bathroom, flooding the entire area. Overall, it was a memorable stay, and with some updates to the rooms, the experience could be even better.

  It was amazing that we made it to Nairobi and stayed at this property that has a very rich history and is full of stories. I love the architecture of this property. The garden is gorgeous. It has so much fun to walk around the garden and do some activities. I enjoyed the swimming pool very much although we had just a short stay. The transportation’s to our Safari trip was partially arranged by the hotel. It was a very nice seamless arrangement! We did face some challenges to move around with a wheelchair because of the old facility. We managed it well. Thanks for all the help.

  We loved this hotel! From the style to the food, service and friendly faces. The massages at the spa were wonderful. We also loved the Tatu restaurant. We also walked to the National Museum which led us past several shopping stalls. Asante sana! We will be back.

The staff are generally attentive and professional and service quality is consistent across most touchpoints. The interior spaces blend heritage charm with modern comfort which gives the hotel a unique character compared to newer properties. Overall, it is a solid choice for anyone wanting a mix of tranquility, good service and a touch of Nairobi’s history. I would recommend it for both casual visits and business related engagements.
