Unfussy rooms in an unpretentious, country-style hotel with a pub/restaurant, a garden & a terrace.
The garden setting in Starehe offers green space that's rare in that part of Nairobi. Rooms are clean and affordable, making it popular with budget-conscious travelers. Service is helpful, and location gives decent access to city center. It's practical urban accommodation.

I like the home-like feeling that the hotel gives. It is a very simple hotel, hidden in Ngara, surrounded by trees. The food is very good, staff are very friendly and helpful.
An intimate, all-suite boutique hotel in Karen with four-poster beds and Out of Africa ambiance. At $350 for a Deluxe Suite, Hemingways offers genuine luxury — but Karen's isolation is the trade-off.
