  Absolutely loved the place! The setting was amazing and we were near a stream so we could hear Hyenas in the night - happened once or twice and definitely loved it. The staff were beyond incredible - Abraham was the best host you could want who took care of our every need. Alan was seriously an incredibly talented chef who gave us only the best and tastiest food and packed delicious breakfast and lunch for our game drives, Dickson our safety guard who ensured that we always felt safe, and Marco who made sure that our stay was comfortable! There were other staff as well who worked behind the scenes that we unfortunately did not get to know by name but thanks to each and everyone at The Drunken Elephant Mara who were thoroughly hospitable and made our three night stay incredibly wonderful!

  I absolutely loved my stay here. The service was incredible, honestly the best I’ve experienced so far. Everyone was so warm and attentive, and they really went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. The rooms were beautiful, clean and super comfortable. The location is also great, just a few minutes from Sekenani Gate which makes it really easy to get to the game drives. The food was amazing! Everything I tried was delicious and the presentation was always on point. I enjoyed every single meal. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting the Maasai Mara. It’s such a wonderful experience from start to finish.

  We had a wonderful stay at Druncan Elephant Hotel, Masai Mara. The property is very well maintained and offers a clean, comfortable environment. The staff is extremely polite, friendly, and always ready to help. A special highlight was the availability of authentic Indian food, which made us feel right at home. The hotel also feels very safe and secure, allowing us to relax and enjoy our trip fully. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Masai Mara!

  Very good location for Masai Mara safari visit. It's rustic (camp like), but with all facilities. Washrooms are good and equipped though water may be little rusty, acceptable as we are in jungle safari. Food are simple but warm and fresh. I am ready for a second visit if possible. Good chance to visit Masai Mara tribal village nearby.

  The location is excellent and the tents are spacious and nicely set up, that’s where the positives end. Service was consistently underwhelming. Laundry came back wet, staff rarely checked in or offered drinks despite being around all day, and the breakfast buffet was cleared while we were still eating. Most of the day, the team seemed disengaged. The food offering is entirely Indian cuisine, tasty, but I expected more variety for a multi-day stay. In-room amenities also disappointed: the fan provided couldn’t be used due to the wrong plug. The game drives were scenic, but lacked any real depth. The guide mostly drove silently from one animal to the next while on his phone. There was little context, no storytelling, it felt more like visiting a zoo than exploring an ecosystem. I ended the safari early. Also, be aware: lions roam the property at night. While security is present, it’s unnerving, something I wish had been communicated in advance. For the price (including game drives and transfers), I can’t say it delivered the experience I was hoping for.
