  From the first greeting to the last farewell our stay at Masai Mara Base Camp was a delight. The staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful. We confidently recommend Base Camp to anyone wishing to experience the Masai Mara.

  As the tour leader and the owner of the travel company that booked our stay at the lodge, I was truly impressed by the experience we had. The staff were exceptionally warm, attentive, and helpful throughout our visit. The dinners were excellent, and our waiter Brenn made each evening special. He consistently went above and beyond, creating a fun and enjoyable atmosphere. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and pleasant, and the breakfast and lunch boxes were among the best I’ve had anywhere. Overall, the lodge provided a wonderful experience, and we genuinely appreciated the hospitality from the entire team. Highly recommended!

  We had the most fun. Our guide, John, made sure we stopped and saw a variety of animals. He was determined to find ones he felt we would like to see. John got as close as he could and we were grateful for his enthusiasm. John told us many facts and answered any questions. He’s easy to talk to and very very friendly. Great singer too! Thanks so much. We will be talking about this adventure forever. Happy happy!

  Saruni Base Camp is absolutely beautiful with an unbeatable location. The tent was spacious, clean, and even had an outdoor shower! Overlooking the river, you could hear all kinds of animal sounds at night, which made the experience truly special. The highlight was spotting a leopard from the restaurant at night on the other side of the river!! Though unfenced, the camp felt very safe with 24x7 guards. The staff were courteous, the food was exceptional and well presented, and the limited menu catered to everyone. A perfect balance of wilderness and comfort!

  ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amazing Stay at Saruni Basecamp Masai Mara! This camp strikes the perfect balance between an authentic safari experience and modern comfort. The location is excellent — you can be among the very first vehicles entering the Masai Mara in the morning. The staff are incredibly attentive, professional, and kind. Their thoughtful touches, like the evening turndown service with hot water bag in the bed, made chilly nights cozy. We also appreciated the fact that the camp brings in mineral water for both drinking and brushing, which gave us great peace of mind. For a tented camp, the amenities far exceeded our expectations: plenty of hot water for showers, comfortable and clean rooms, and every tent facing the river — a wonderful view to enjoy with morning coffee or after a game drive. The food was delicious, the service top-notch, and communication in English was excellent. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort without compromising on a true safari experience!
