  This place is stuck in time. The hotel is all musky and lots of mosquitoes. I was supposed to be there for six nights. I left by the second night. I did not get a refund. It was one of my worst stayin Mombasa. I would not recommend a place to anyone.

  I have had a nightmarish experience at this hotel and I am still at the resort waiting for the water to flow through the taps. The numbers of issues I have had began when I had to wait for 2 hours to be given a room (it was being cleaned I was told). No hot water to freshen up and it stayed that why for two days until I was given another room. The new room now has hot water but the water doesn't flow for most of the morning. There are no basic amenities that you would expect in a hotel room and when you ask for them it takes hours to appear. I can go on forever on the short comings of this hotel, suffice to say the hotel needs major renovation as it looks and feels totally tired with most things working on a wing and a prayer. As I write a review about the hotel I look at my hands and arms and see angry mosquito bites and my face bears half a dozen of them too (gone to the local shop and bought a large bottle of mosquito spray for my room). If there is a plus side to this establishment then it is the loyal staff, from the receptionist to the cleaners. A special mention to the barman at the Harry's bar, a joyous Mr James (009),who makes my stay a little bit more bearable with cold beers and small talks. The management is non existent and the manager is always missing in action. Finally, the owner of this hotel, if he/she reads the review should seriously think of refunding my, sizable, money spent to stay here on false promises of four stars treatment.

  2/10 Not recommend to stay ,i don’t know about the word luxury, when mold comes in every corner . The view from the beach is amazing and that’s about it

  This hotel was disappointing. When we arrived we got a room with a bathroom in a horrendous state. The bathroom was very old and dirty. It is scandalous that people are put in rooms with such bathrooms, especially because you pay for it, while it is not worth any money. I went complaining about the horrible state of the bathroom and we got a new room with a bathroom in a better state. The cleaning team and the staff is very friendly but the rooms and bathrooms are not cleaned properly. Also is it weird that the towels get refreshed every two days. This should happen everyday, especially because people go to the beach. The hotel is a bit old and needs some renovations . The drinks are also on the expensive side, especially the cocktails. For the quality you get, it is not worth the money. I would also recommend to organize some entertainment in the hotel, because it can be bit boring. I would not recommend the hotel to other people.

  The place is nice great value for money. Room was nice and spacious enough. Good breakfast buffet. More local food options a la cart would have been great. They could do better in cleaning. Staff are great, polite and accommodating.
