  Strange and unpleasant experience. I tried to enter the park through gate A, but a man wouldn't let me in. He started asking questions like where I was heading to and why. He said the park was closed was closed (altough there were plenty of people inside). I said OK, and stepped aside. About 2 mins later, 3 other people were easily let in, so the man (who didn't look like security) had no option but to let me pass.

  Uhuru park is public place where people from all over Kenya and even the world come to relax and enjoy nature. It has playgrounds for kids and is very spacious. The facilities at the playground are in good conditions hence totally safe. Entry to the park is free, you just have to carry with you your national identity card or any form identification to be allowed into the park. However, facilities in the park such as toilets are paid for. The place is also a favorable for business due to the large numbers of people in the park. This favours hawkers selling snacks, phone accessories and services such as photoshoot. Uhuru park is also a spacious place and thus used for hosting private eventsband even national events like Labor Day celebrations. Uhuru Park is in the heart of the Central Business District of Nairobi city and hence very accessible.

  Very beautiful themed park with a lot of activities for kids. Entrance is free but you need to pay for activities. Bike riding, cruise on the lake, cars etc. Kids will love it but remember to carry cash with you for payments

  Visited Uhuru Park during a Red Bull event, and the park is honestly looking great after the revamp. The event had its own section, but I could still see the regular weekend vibe — families, kids’ rides, and a generally chill atmosphere. The place looked clean and well-kept. The park is big with multiple gates, but nothing confusing. Even with the event going on, most of the park felt relaxed. Solid spot to walk around, take photos, go for a short run, or even ride a bike, depending on the vibe you want.

  Nice park. Lots of space to have picnic or sit by yourself. There’s an amusement park and botanical garden as well as historical landmarks like the Mau Mau settlement monument. There’s food and drinks on sale and lots of games to add color to your day. It’s spacious enough to be quiet even though there are many people there. Recommended for personal or family and group days out
