  5 stars Royal Mara Safari Lodge was a dream! The spacious, renovated tents offer complete privacy and comfort, all nestled along the serene Maasai River. Each day we enjoyed 4-course meals that rival fine dining—paired with stellar wine options and top-tier service. The raw, breathtaking exposure to nature was perfectly balanced with the reassuring presence of Maasai Warriors. Every detail was handled with world-class hospitality. Truly nothing left to be desired... except more time to stay.

  After checking out a ton of places, we finally decided on Royal Mara Safari Lodge in Mara North Conservancy. I’d seen some pics online, and honestly, the rooms looked a bit old-school compared to some of the fancier resorts. I was a bit nervous about what we’d find. But as soon as we got there, everything was great! They welcomed us with some delicious apple juice, and the staff was super chill and friendly. They showed us to our room, and wow! It looked nothing like the photos I saw. They’ve totally revamped the place—it’s modern and stylish, just like the other resorts. Plus, we had an amazing view of the Mara River with crocs and hippos right outside! The room was perfect—bright, airy, and super private. The balcony was huge, and we even had a jacuzzi! There was this awesome guy assigned to us who showed us around and helped us get to the common areas. He even volunteered to take us out to see the hippos and crocs and gave us a full tour of the property. Once we settled into our room, I was amazed by how much cabinet and storage space the room had. Since we were a couple traveling, having two wash basins was so amazing ! The storage for our suitcases, toiletries, and clothes was really well thought out, so we didn’t have to live out of our bags. They had solar heaters outside each room for hot water, which was great. We did have a small issue with the hot water, but they changed our rooms right away! Plus, there were no mosquitoes, though we were careful not to open the canvas too much. The place was clean, and they tidied up every day while we were out on safari. they provided a safe locker for our valuables and a 5-liter water can for drinking. The food was really good overall, but the only downside was that they served the same soup every day. A bit repetitive ! But the chef was super accommodating if you didn’t like something on the menu. My favorite dish had to be the Swahili-style pork curry they served on our last day—it was absolutely delicious! Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we’d definitely recommend Royal Mara Safari Lodge to anyone heading to Mara North. Everything from the service to the views made it special. Can’t wait to go back!

  The standard of accommodation and service here is outstanding. The rooms were spacious, very comfortable and beautifully furnished. Tony and his staff were so hospitable and made our stay truly memorable. Such a stunning and exciting environment right next to the river where you can see and hear the hippos and view giraffes, zebras and Impalas literally from your lodge. Do not hesitate to book the Royal Mara, I promise you will not be disappointed. Thank you Tony and all the staff for making us so welcome.

  When you come to Masai Mara, come and stay in Royal Mara! What a place! What a service! So good! At this place look for Tony, Simon, Anna and Paul. They are absolutely the best you will see. The rooms are absolutely amazing. The service is extremely good. The people are very helpful and understanding esp Anna and Paul. They will accommodate all your requests. They are excellent and last but not the least we took the night safari with Simon and he knows exactly where to find what. He knows where to find the lions and leopards and elephants. The view of the hotel is insanely too good. It overlooks the Mara river filled with hippos and crocodiles. We got to see a feast of the crocodiles over a hippo. The cool breeze of Kenya along with the sweet smell of nature will make you fall in love with this place.
