Staff is very friendly and has the common stuff you can expect for a hotel (not a bnb), but I personally found it rather slightly pricey for the value offered

The service and facilities were great. I could ask the reception for anything, and they were always ready to assist. The rooms however where below my expectations, although I had an executive room. The bathroom was dirsty and musty. When I arrived, there was only one dusty towel, which they had made a swan shape with. They did give me another towel, but just one other towel. There is no place to hang anything in the bathrooms, and the windows must be open all the time becuase of ventilatiom, but this also causes the bathroom to be filled with mosquitoes. The room only had 1 electricity socket, and that was hidden behind the bed. I had to move the bed all the way towards the window to be able to use that socket. If they could just upgrade give the rooms a bit of a facelift, and make shure they are clean, and also profide clean items, clean towels, this could be a great hotel. Again I'm grateful to the great and helpful staff of the hotel, because they where great during my entire stay.

The great turk reef- Lodwar did not met our expectations. The rooms were constantly in blackout due to power outage, thus making them a furnace, due to the AC being off. We'd have to open windows at night when the lights went off, to get some breeze, at the risk of mosquitoes getting in. One night we even had to pass time outside in the garden, so as to shorten the night in the room, In order to avoid battling the heat inside our room. Moreover, the rooms had very noisy ACs. The dinning area had so many flies both in and outside, and there was no measure of controlling them while eating, which was quite a nuisance. The breakfast had a good variety but could be better. However, the other meals were quite tasty and generous portions, especially the mbuzi wet dry, fish fillet and tilapia fish. The swimming pool had stagnant water as it wasn't circulating at all and wasn't too clean either. The staff were kind and pleasant to converse with. In addition, they have a lush green garden where you can host events or play games such as badminton. The management really has to work on the hotel.

The hotel is generally good together with its services. The AC especially in the old rooms need to be replaced or serviced, they are making too much noise, some are leaking. Otherwise I like Great Turk Reef Hotel. I would recommend to anyone
