Room was spacious for a couple with large bags and two large backpacks. Stayed for 3 nights. Everything very clean and tidy. Bed had flower petals scattered on it on arrival with welcome juice and water which is nice. Had a balcony. Upstairs is chill out roof. Only downside WiFi in room didn't work had to go to roof. The manager was very nice and helpful man offered to cook us food if we shopped for it. 35 min walk to Lamu.

We throughly enjoyed our stay at Furaha House. Nyama made us feel right at home from the start and welcomed us with fresh juice and a smile. He is an amazing cook, we had a lovely fresh fish curry on our first night and he put on a great breakfast spread overlooking the sea each morning for a very reasonable price. The location is great as it’s practically on Shella beach and the room is spacious. Couldn’t recommend enough!

A beautiful place and most perfect location. The beach is just 1 minute walk away. A nice rooftop terrace to chill and dine in. The room is nice and the view from the balcony is amazing. Communicating with Donatella was easy and Nyama took good care of us, he is a super nice guy. Highly recommended!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in Furaha house. The hosts are so accommodating and friendly, and Nyama, the chef's food was incredible! The view and balcony were lovely. This house was much better than the hotel we stayed at our first night in Shella, and I would highly recommend staying here, it is one of the cheapest stays you can find, and it is much better than a more expensive stay!

I stayed at Furaha House for 2 months while working remotely and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The house is furnished simply but offers everything you need for a comfortable stay in Shela. The location is incredible right behind Peponi Hotel and just meters from the beach. Nyama the housekeeper is extremely helpful and an great cook, his fish curry is amazing! Donatella the owner was very prompt at communicating and sorting out any issues (the wifi was upgraded while I was staying which took a while to get up and running but now works well). I highly recommend the house to anyone and will certainly be returning.
