Outspan is the ideal place to pause, refresh, and discover authentic Kenyan crafts. Really great place to stop on your way to and from the parks. An amazing opportunity for the local artisans to sell their stuff. I was definitely thankful to have my extended family. Polish up your bargaining skills you'll have a lot of fun and get some great art

Nice souvenirs. Washrooms ok. Sales staff quite pushy. No price tags you are offered an initial outrageous price (~42€ for one fridge magnet and two very small carved animals), luckily for me I was the first customer of the day, so I got a little less, but still outrageous offer (30€). In the end we settled for 15€, which I still find expensive for what I got, but at least a percentage is donated to the local orphanage.

Great place to stopover on your way to Amboseli and back to shop for curios. The produce is in abundance starting from animal and tribal figurines and busts either made of wood, bone or horns, textiles such as clothing and bags, leather goods like belts and handbags, jewellery. They have toilets at the back which are cleaned regularly and a café adjoining the shop. Parking space for cars are well catered for to attract tourists. Items are hugely overpriced, so be sure to haggle. They accept Kenyan shillings and dollars and card payments are accepted. Again be sure to calculate what you are paying for. Staff are helpful and at hand but, they might charm you to pay the price they are expecting, so don't get carried away. Definitely worth a visit, but, hotel shop prices (I found) are at par or even competitive to what they charge.
